Ok I recommend trying something like Goo-Gone, i've taken thick adhesive and paint off with it before. On another car I had I rubbbed up against white paint and it took it off with a little effort.

If that doesnt work I would also give a clay bar a try.

I would not try WD-40, not saying it wouldnt work but I had heard one time that WD-40 is silicone based and will leave a permanent residue that can negatively affect re-painting body panels that is has been in contact with.

If all else fails I guess the body shop is the only choice.

I literally just got done getting all of this off of my camaro, I used zaino's clay bar, came off really really easily. Before that I tried bug and tar remover and it did nothing.

whatever you do DO NOT use brake fluid, if you do you'll definitly be making a trip to the body shop. At least from what I've always heard.
