Mine had 26 miles because they drove it from Sylmar CA, to Northdridge CA. My sales person transffered dealers so he had to go pick it up in Sylmar and drove it back himself to Northdrige. I wasn't happy he drove it but it was only 26 miles, so I let it slip. :(

Factory order. Had 5 when it arrived and 9 when I took it (Gas round trip from that dealership is about 4 miles...and yes, without even asking, they use premium, I love my dealership)

6 when I test drove it, 15 when I finished the drive, 15 when I received it.

But seriously, I wonder how many new cars people on this board have bought? 300 is acceptable but higher than the norm, anything under 100 is pretty normal. Most car companies stopped or reduced the subsidies for dealer demos years ago. Since then dealers usually have one demo of a model, maybe, and buyers test the car they are considering. If you had not bought the car you tested, it would have that many more miles for the next person. Legally, in Florida at least, they can sell a car as new if it has never been titled and has under 500 miles. The returned cars under the 60 day program could not be sold as new because they would have been titled.

I'm in my late 50's and have bought at least 12 brand new cars. I've ordered them and I've bought them off the lot. I have never purchased a NEW car with more than 20 miles on the odometer, nor would I (unless there was some kind of special circumstances). I would not consider a car with 300-400 miles on it to be a brand new car. They would have to "make me an offer I couldn't refuse" for me to buy a NEW car with that many miles on it. I'd have to get a big discount, or I'd walk. Just my personal opinion and preference.....
