If you can't kill the cat and you trust your aim a BB gun works really good. After 2 or 3 shots the cat will never walk on your car again!

Actually you can get some special double sided tape at most pet stores for this. after a few times, the cat will stay off.

Yes they like the heat, had one do this to my car all the time. Till I got Chopper my german shepard. Havent seen that cat in a long long time.
