[QUOTE=Speedy1975;1738711]There is NO WAY that is your first time. You need to change your screen name to Hustler!
Sorry Speedy, but it is true (you can ask Speedster, he knows us). I have gone to the 1/8 mile twice, but the first time the car broke down and we were not able to run. I did get some lap-time on my second visit, but what truly help me was all the great tips every one gave me and the the big hug John gave me before we got started (it helped calm the nerves ). Thanks John! you are the best!

My question for Mighty Mouse, what did you have in the motor. It seemed to me that the 67 is heavier, than 2010 and you had a carb, not fuel injection, no forced induction. Looked like motor and tranny, but it rocked and you ate alot of peoples lunch.

We have a bored and stroked small block. For what Speedster and my husband tells me, my car is lighter than the 2010s, plus I'm only a 100 pounds.

. All of you guys were so nice, it really made this an unforgettable experience! And yes, I think the trick was the weight advantage. This is a great incentive for me not to gain weight .

And I am sure it cost a lot less that A supercharger, cam etc.... I was just amazed at how fast that car was.

Can you post your times? I seem to remember seeing it hit in the 10.7 - 11.0 range quite consistently. I've got some great video of you I'll have to send your way once I get it all edited down.

All runs were between 11.08 and 11.3x. Most runs were 11.17 - 11.23. Espy is a naturally great driver. She has wicked reaction times, but just as important listens and performs the exact same launch procedure every time. Kinda made of few of the faster racers mad that she is slow in staging, but she wants to do it right. This really was her first 1/4 mile run. She ran the car a couple of times in the 1/8th. I will say she has had a lot of fun with Pocket Pal Practice Tree.

R/T .... 0.261 60 .... 1.522 330 ... 4.531 1/8 .... 7.074 MPH ... 96.59 1000 ... 9.272 1/4 .... 11.140 MPH ... 120.44 But I ran the car again at night and my best time was 11.086 and my best reaction time was 0.054 and the fastest MPH of the day was 120.87. Now I'm so into it, I want my husband to take me back to the 1/4 mile track to see if we can get into the 10s. I don't know who invented work, it's definitely putting a damper in my racing plans, can't wait to go to the track again . Quote:
Thanks Speedster for bringing your pocket tree and letting me practice ![]() By the way, I said Joe with the yellow-camaro, I meant Joe with the Yellow-Mustang. Thanks Joe! It was a pleasure meeting you and we hope to see again. |

I'll pass my thanks along as well. Had a great time out there! First of all, NOTHING happens in South Georgia, and to have all of you guys (and gals) swarm down here for a weekend bash was awesome. We had the wife's Challenger out there and while we would have loved to run that car just to see what it'll do... we missed registration.
I'm sure you guys woulda loved whipping up on us. ![]() we didnt get there till after lunch, but we got to see some great racing. next time.. you guys think you could get the vendors to bring down some Challenger goodies? ![]() still.... mighty-mouse. i have to say that Camaro launches off the line hard. i like it. |
