The sunrise color is no doubt a eye catching color but as you mentioned I'm happy with the current yellow. Of course if you look at the pic below I guess it's kind of obvious I like yellow

Not only that, if I spent that much on a paint job, I would be extremely pissed and overly anxious every time a chip or scratch happened to the car because the cost of repainting or repairing it would be high too.

Not $15,000.00
I was thinking so, but everyone here keeps spotting redicoulous numbers for a color, I didn't know a color was that much, They can't do paint match like home depot lol

I know for a fact if GM painted the yellow Camaros with Sunrise, and if the movie car had the Rally Yellow, people would complain about that, too.

We were at Target the other day and when we came out, a whole family was walking around the car, the mother was taking pictures with her cell phone, and I heard the father (I assume) asking the kids if they knew WHO this was, and they all screamed "BUMBLEBEE!"

By the time we got close enough, I hit the door unlock and popped the trunk. Surprised all of them. I guess they thought he was going to transform. Then when they got there I took a pic with her phone of all of them in front of the car.

The car is still a star.

I've been wondering that exact thing since the first time I looked at the color choices. They offer IOM, which has to cost the same as that yellow, so why don't they offer the yellow for a little extra, just like IOM? It doesn't make sense to me...perhaps it's just a difficult color.

I like the Rally Yellow but I just LOVE the sunrise. I still think they could do something to get very close to that color. It has nothing to do with the movie, just LOVE the color on this car

In order to get the true "glow" that Bumblebee has requires special primer and multi-coats of paint.

It's quite expensive-- I believe one of our Canadian owners paid north of 5K for the materials.....

Now - could we get 'close' to it? Probably - but it would not have that 'glow' --meaning that it COULD end up looking not unlike a block of cheddar...........

One particular bodyshop owner didn't like my answer and said he could paint them for less than I'd stated.......the problem is that we would have to paint them at "line rate" and the assembly plant is simply not set up to do custom types of paint such as this.........
I like this explanation...do you know what the paint code for the concept convertible orange was and what kind of special things you have to do to get that glow?

Fbodfather knows!
Gm is not going to offer this colour. If you want it done, go to your local paint shop.

If, you want it done right....be prepared to pay $15,000 or close to that.
The car has to be disassembled!

Is it worth it? You bet! EVERY penny!

Ford in 2007 had a color called grabber orange on there mustangs this or something close to it would have been a hit imo especially with the transformer movie's coming out. I drove 1400 km's to buy my ride and can tell you i would have drove another 1000 miles to get this color.

I've seen this color in person a lot. A guy in town here has a Mustang in this color, he revs up every time I pass him... I guess he doesn't know. LOL
