I want a set of these as well...got a set in at Discount Tire but I've not pulled the trigger yet.

Went and looked at them though and they are huge! These don't look like 315s to me...they look like 275s...maybe the wheel makes them look smaller?

The ones I looked at were near 13 inches wide....these don't look that wide?

I was gonna say this too.....They don't look wide enough to be 315's on that 9" wheel..but maybe we just need to see a better shot from the back of the car.

Nope no problems, that's exactly what those are stock 20" Camaro wheels. You'd have to see them in person - I will get a better shot when the car is on the dyno. We're all in agreement at the shop that they look wicked and there really isn't much tire buldge at all if any.

Usually when your trying to mount a tire that's to big for the rim, you'll know it. They are a pain to get on. These tires went right on without a single issue. A couple guys from the board have stopped by to take a look at them and thought they looked perfect. Maybe they can chime in as well.

They look good.

Nitto DR's are known for running smaller than other brands.

Lots of guys run their 275s on 8'' wide wheels with no issues.

Just because a tire can be mounted on a wheel, that doesn't mean it fits properly. Tires that are too wide for the recommended wheel will handle poorly and wear unevenly. Look at the dirt on that tread, the sidewalls are stretched in so far that you aren't even using the full 315mm tire patch. Maybe using 275mm worth

Low-profile sidewalls are designed to support the weight of the vehicle when they are in a nearly vertical position, not pulled in and bulging. Being a drag racer, you probably realize that using too much tire can actually slow you down. Most of us drag racers know to use just enough tire that the vehicle requires. I'll bet a proper fitting 275 wide drag radial (if it existed in 20") would work just as well or better than that poorly fitting 315 tire. The factory 9.0" wide wheel is pretty narrow. Even a 295 is pushing the limit on that width.

Bulging tires might look cool to some, I even think it can look cool sometimes. But, I suppose I prefer to go with what fits properly, and maintain performance and handling characteristics. Maybe I'm getting old

They Are. Tire safety becomes an issue.

Please do not take this the wrong way. I think everyone agrees that we have the utmost respect for all that you do and constantly bring to this site - you guys at Jannetty are amazing with engines. But if you are recommending that someone violate all of the research that Nitto engineers dictate as safe...just saying.
