Heard the absolute greatest quote today...(while watching the NASCAR hall of fame induction)

"If your afraid of going fast... stay the hell home, don't come here complaining about going fast... tie kerosene rags around your ankles so the ants don;t climb up and bite you candy ass"

The Intimidator - Dale Earnhardt

ABQ members..

Thankx so much for sharing your pics with the rest of us. You know we never tire of looking at pics of our beloved Camaros, ever.

If I can ask, what was the track fee p/driver? Trying to do something similar here in NC for our newly formed group. Feel free to PM me if necessary. Again, nice event, congrats.

The absolute best Driver ever...bar none, any class. The guy had so much tenacity and soul. There will never ever be another like him....ever.

We're from Daytona, Granny and Gramps still down there. Dad passed away there in '07.

Ironically on the same hospital as Dale Sr did in '01. My Dad woulda liked knowing he was gonna cash in at the same place The Intimidator sorta did.

Thank you! We are truly all the same aren't we?

The Track President actually is partnered with one of our members here, Curtis Jingle (CJingle) and they worked out a really impressive season of 4- hour sessions for pretty much everyone throughout the Summer months

$20 bucks a car buys ya a Breakfast Burrito, some Coffee (or juice if you'd like), and all the track you can take from 8am-12am.

Can you dig that??? !!!

Not to mention the Track President is a local celebrity, Jim Guthrie. A seasoned Indy Racing League driver and 1997 IRL Rookie of the year, Jim is always on hand and readily available to give instruction and direction to any of the drivers. He's got more experience and knowledge in one hand then most any of us will ever have in our entire lives.

Get something going locally and hey, I know SC is a way off, but if you're passing through, come on down and we'll take care of you sir!

Best of luck!
Ivan

Hey Ivan, keep working like that and you'll need 050's on all 4 corners! Guys. I am so glad I got to make it out for all that fun. Jim driving my car was way more than I could ever have imagined. And hanging out with all of you and talking about these amazing cars was great too. We really are all the same!
