When do you hope for delivery? - Page 3 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

presuming we'll get ours around the 5-10th of March... we're number one in line at our dealership and there's nothing outstanding about our car and there's no sunroof to slow it down in QC... so presumably ours would start production around the 20th, be finished by the 25th and be shipped by the end of February... which should put it on our dealership lot around March 5th or maybe a bit earlier... add a few days of possible shipping delays and the 5-10th seems logical.

Thanks for the insight, SWHCPA - makes sense. I hope you're right 'cause I'd love having mine by summer. Although, you said initial allocations(us) are for the "first few months of production" and cover deliveries through Q3-2009, which is right, that's exactly what Chevy said. It's that "through Q3" I'm having trouble understanding. Why'd they throw that in there if they're going to be delivered by June? Maybe no one knows that answer.

The way I read that was as "recommended" color packages, since we can't see them in person as of yet.

As for delivery date... I'm with the few that believe that the final order #'s will be what determines what is built first. I think due to the response from this site alone, that the SS's will be the first off the line.

I was expecting middle of April barring any supllier issues.

Im hoping to get mine in early march. The first orders were about 3000..and that included a big chunk of the people on this forum. So Im hoping that since we placed our orders first we can get them pretty quick. Only delays we may have are if you ordered your with really special choices (odd things)..or if there is a shortage of a certain part (such as the 19" wheels).....

Or a shortage of RS components.

I'm hoping i get mine before the long weekend in may. I'm number 8 out of about 12, so i'm not expecting it too early. I don't mind waiting, because a sportscar in the winter sucks. Plus the longer it takes, the more i'll have for a down payment, so it'll make the monthly payments easier.
