I complained to Chevy about wear on the leather drivers seat on my vette. It was 2 years old and had 15000 miles on it. They replaced it free.

Leather just keep it clean, do not put anything on it, ask me why.
Ok here you go, my 4th gen seat 12+years 247,000+ miles and just clean it with a damp rag. And yes it sit outside many a Texas summer.

Covering it up makes about as much sense as guys who never drive there ride and leave it under a cover 24/7. Leather is like a pair of jeans gets better with age imo.
