Wait what?! So basically if most of everyone here had the game and customized a camaro to look like there own we could see each other online in our "virtual" cars! I would try everyone here and wreck into them... That would be too much fun

Yea, sorda like those days you just want to play online with friends and don't need a whole profile and community to deal with that for some reason warrants a monthly fee....that sorda thing that I don't WANT to pay for. I figured I was just paying for the red rings I got every 3 months.

What you don't pay for....kind of like a blu ray player

Well, lets keep it simple and refrain from discussing anything other than the two online experiences offered by both systems, as anything else was not originally what was discussed by whoever asked the initial question, and therefore off-topic.

You're right that the main reason is to play games with friends, I agree with you. But the PS3 makes this simple process very unfriendly.
Can you even start up a chat with friends who are playing a different game that you yet? Last I checked, you couldn't. Both had to have the same game in their system. It would seem even rallying up a bunch of friends on the same game to be very painful and a waste of time.
The less time I spend doing these annoying steps = more time spent playing the actual games.
I for one find it worthwhile to spend a mere $4.95/month for an online experience that would simplify and make this process faster and easier. It's not much money for what you get, and if I had problems paying this small monthly fee, I probably wouldn't even spend the cash to buy a game system in the first place.

Oh...might as well discuss the red rings
Yes that is terrible, but the last year or so of consoles produced have not had this problem. It's sort of in the past now.
But even so, I like my 360 way more than my PS3. I'd rather have a system I really like that breaks, than have a system that bores me that works all the time...
