When will you be making this trip?
In Norcal, there's Napa Valley The Wine train San Francisco with Alcatraz Pier 39 Cable Cars Sacramento river rafting Fisherman's Wharf Great America Theme Park Ghiradelli Square (for chocolate lovers) FRESH Sourdough Bread And the Start of a great PCH cruise down south to SoCal, before heading East to Las Vegas. If you fly to SoCal and drive up, you'll have to drive back before heading out to Vegas. |

I've got several questions for you:
How old are those that are coming with you? Are these good friends or work acquaintances? (You don't want to make a bad impression if its people form work) Any interest in seeing the strange or seeing stuff that makes you scratch your head in amazement? LA: - Petersen Automotive Museum - Hollywood Sign ??? Not a big deal if you go to Universal Studio's, you can see it from there - Hollywood Boulevard walk of fame is cool, lots of crazies though - Universal Studios Hollywood Cool if you're into movies, take the behind the scene's back lot tour, must be booked in advance - Staples Center Pass - Venice Beach Boardwalk Yup - Nightlife Hollywood is either going to rock or scare you to death. - Beverly Hills You've got to see Rodeo Drive if your coming all the way out here. San Diego: Balboa Park: It has several museums that are pretty cool. Automotive, air and space etc. USS Midway Tour: Down town hot spot for great shopping and you can see an old US Military Aircraft Carrier inside and out. Gas Lamp District The hotspot in downtown San diego. Great food, shopping and bars. La Jolla This is where the money is. Great shopping, Hard Rock Cafe, Beach etc. Also the crazy para gliders that run off the cliffs. Mission Beach Belmont park is a boardwalk type park (mini fair) that is very busy and can be a great spot to visit. Lots of awesome bar's in the evening!!!! PetCo Park The nicest baseball park in the state. (Sorry Dodgers fans) San Diego Zoo / Wild Animal park / Sea World If your into animals, its a must see. (you need almost a full day to see everything at each of them) Old Town Great for souvieneer shopping. You must get a yard of beer if you're there. Most of the San Diego spots can be reached by trolley avoiding traffic and allowing for more sight seeing. If your going to stay in San Diego, stay somewhere near the Convention center. Its walking distance to the Gas Lamp, Midway, PetCo Park, and has several trolley stations to get you to Old Town and easy access to the Zoo and Balboa Park. Google the Winchester House, Hurst Castle, Six Flags Magic Mountain and see if they are something that would interest you or your travel buddies. You can always stop in Pismo and check out the sand dunes
