On the way to Montana (at Longmont, CO to be exact), I picked up a drill bit in my right rear tire. Luckily, Firestone was able to do a quick patch and I was on my way.

This is my third tire patch, both rear tires. I was told that high performance, deep tread tires are prone to picking up nails, screws (and now drill bits). So don't be surprised that you'll have to patch your tires now and again. Another (and big) reason I bought the SS spare tire kit.

By the way, I do not recommend plugs! When they put the plug in, the hole has to be roughed up, which means a larger hole. Most of the time, the plug does not hold and you'll lose the tire when running down the road. I've experienced that personally and will never do a plug again.

Also, I had Discount fix my other two tire repairs. I highly recommend them!

Sorry you won't be able to make our track day on Saturday the 7th and Meet and Greet on Sunday the 8th! But by all means if you can we would love to have you! The track day on the 7th starts with a meet up at the Hotel Albuquerque down in Old Town around 7:30 AM, with a cruise out to the track. The track time is from 8-12 with personal help from Jim Guthrie, former Indy Driver!
Sunday the 8the is our monthly meet and greet and it will be in the parking lot off Jefferson just south of Paseo by Starbucks and Dos Hermanos. We start parking between 9:30 and 10:00 AM....after everyone gets there and we all catch up on things we will cruise in mass!!!! to Hard Rock Cafe to make an entrance at the Car Show going on there! Should be fun! Hope you can swing it!

I am not out of everything yet. I am sure I will not make the seventh, but I should be able to make the 8th.

I saw Ivan said the eighth was saturday, but now it is on Sunday, I should be able to make it.
