ok...well...where the Camaro is considered - I AM a neat freak I guess LOL
I would be too if I didn't have kids. My cars used to be spotless inside. Now, I'm doing good if I keep the scuff marks down to a minimum. It's killing me right now knowing it's in the garage filthy from driving in it the rain. I can't wash it because hubby will be taking her out when he gets off work to do some tuning. It'll just come home covered in brake dust and bugs again.

Now that my daughter's in high school, she gets looks and sometimes approached by boys after getting out of the Camaro! And next year she'll be the one driving the Firebird.
Lucky girl!!! I used to have a 2002 Firebird. I loved that car. I had two Camaros before that.

I DID do the minivan and SUV thing...made me appreciate the Camaro that much more. Ditto on the looks the kids get when they get out of the car (11 & 13) but the best is when someone says to the 13 yr old "Your dad's got a nice car!" And he replies "That's my mom's!"

So this is my new toy, anyone else have the same feelings?
Well I'm no mom... but I do have a 4 month old and a 4 year old. I got them both in the car though the car seat was an issue. With how far I sit back the baby will always need to be put on the right side. For our test drive she was behind me and the carseat was having issues.

I'm not a mom, but my 4 yr old and my 6 yr old LOVE riding in the Camaro. I have the car seat behind me and my daughter (4) complains a bit about the leg room, but when I suggest taking the SUV instead she refuses. People always raise an eyebrow when they see the car seats in the back which makes me laugh.
It seems like these days people have one kid they buy a van like it's some kind of mandatory piece of being a parent.

My wife HATES mini-vans, vans or anything that looks like a van. She drives a 2008 Suburban 3/4 ton 4X4 with all the van accessories. Eat in the thing? Everyday! She says she HATES to drive anything of mine because she's afraid to do something to it. Thought she was being stealth the other day when she drove my Equinox and I found a straw wrapper in it. She just laughed and told me she ate in it too.

She refuses to drive the Camaro(s), which is fine with me.

Not a mom either. When I was young my mom crammed me and my sister into a Celica. There was no way she was giving up her sports car for anything. It was much cooler being dropped off at school in the Celica than the rest of the kids in their wagons/vans/sedans. Good choice on your part. Your kids will thank you for it later.

Lol. My mother has always driven sports cars. She had a 67 Mustang Fastback when I was born. I still remember my parents stuffing me in the storage space behind the seats of their 74 Corvette when I was about 6 years old. Even now in her 50's see drives a customized 04 Z06.

Just because you're a mom doesn't mean you are relegated to driving SUVs and Minivans. Drive what you want and make it work for you. To hell with what everyone else thinks.

I can't wait until tomorrow morning when I drop off my daughter for her extended school class. I'll be the only mom there with a badass sounding beast in the parking lot. Their minivans and SUVS will shake with fear when I pull in..... Then I'll get the sour looks from the other parents but I don't care. They can kiss my
I have a 2010 Chrysler Mini-Van...it's my 7th one and its my primary daily vehicle. I also have 2010 SS/RS Supercharged Camaro; 645 HP at the flywheel. I can assure you that I don't shake in fear when your Camaro pulls in....and I ain't kissin' no one's *ss.

I will always drive MVs as my daily driver; it rides like a luxury car, gets 25 mpg on the highway, carries 7 passengers, hauls a full sheet of plywood and moves my daughters stuff to and from their college dorms with ease. A SUV doesn't come close in utility. Mini-Vans are the most functional vehicle ever invented by man and they make life easier.

A Camaro is not designed to be a grocery getter, nor a school bus, but you could do it, if you choose...it's a free country. By the same token, I guess I could chrome out my Mini-Van's V 3.0L engine, take it the next car show and pop open the hood.

haha, my fiance and i already agreed we'll never have a mom-mobile (i.e. mini-van) no matter how many kids we have although we're only planning to have 1 anyway.

also, no baby seats in the Camaro!

My husband and I had sports cars, Corvette, 3 Camaros before kids came along. As much as I couldn't even SAY the word van, as the kids got bigger and 2 big dogs added to the family, we broke down in 2002 and bought a Toyota Sienna. We still have it and it's the primary family/pet/sweaty kids from sports transportation. It was a necessary evil for us. My husband has his truck and Jeep and I finally have a Camaro again!!!

It was pretty cool when I went through a drive through with my 10 year old son in the Camaro. The guy at the window told my son "Dude, your dad has a nice car!" My son started laughing and told him "Dude, this is my MOM'S car!!"

I keep telling my mom she should have kept her '69 Camaro and just gotten rid of my sister instead.....
