A company called JDR Speed is coming up w an awesome looking catch can. I was able to see their first prototype. It was made out of billet aluminum and it will be available in different colors and highly polished and its looks awesome.

Elite Engineering I guess "Split up" and now they have a new name, but they wont be stocking their product anytime soon.[/QUOTE]

Not sure where this rumor came from? I ordered a catch can from Elite Engineering, then saw this thread and emailed Elite. They responded the same day and told me my catch can will shipped Monday. I asked them about this rumor and they did not know anything about it. Where did you get your information?

Just buy a catch can from Elite Engineering. They have the correct bracket for the Camaro too.

LSR oil separator

We will be releasing our kit very soon. It will be inexpensive and very easy to install. Here are a couple of quick pictures of the prototype. Finish of brackets will be much better in the production versions.

At the risk of sounding stupid, what is the purpose of the catch can?

No stupid questions around here. Quick answer, a good Catch Can, with a well engineered internal design, will effectively separate oil from the crankcase vapors, thereby eliminating all negative effects of excessive intake system oil contamination.

Here's a little more information:

Steve,

Thanks for the explanation. Does installation of a catch can have any effect on the factory warranty?

Are there any issues with vibration with that catch can sticking out so far? Also, will it work if my engine has the body color engine covers on it?
