In 2010, synergy edition was a package and a color. In 2011 they decided to bring the color back as standard. So you could get the synergy color without ordering a package. What's more confusing - gm decided to release more synergy editions cars in 2011 that has nothing to do with color.

As if thats not bad enough, the zl1 is being released in 2012 (from gm) the zl1 brand camaro is already built and sold by SLP and has been from 2010 model year.
