I was there!! I ended up being late because I had to run my cat to the Vet's for a shot, but I was there at 12:30!!!! I even embarrassed myself by asking this guy if he drove a Camaro.....

OK...this is the one on Rock & Kellogg?

So I guess I'll see everyone on Thursday!

No problemo. and yes, Rock & Kellogg is where the Old Chicago is.
People can show up anywhere between 4:30pm - 5:00pm ... an hour should go by really fast Deb so no worries!

I'm so sorry Silver. Once I saw the thing about Thursday night, I didn't think to come back and look here as to whether you guys were still meeting today. Very sorry. I will be there Thursday at 4:30 and I'll buy you your first drink to make it up to you

i am going to warn you guys though I have to vent. Very upset with the dealer I first placed my order with. I'll fill you all in Thursday

I ordered it originally from Davis-Moore. But after receiving very poor customer service and being dealt with dishonestly yesterday, I found a dealer 20 miles away (Lubbers in Cheney) that had an open allocation and I placed my order with them, and canceled the one at Davis-Moore. I don't mind driving a little ways to be dealt with honestly.

What sales person from Davis-moore? the West one?
My sales person at the West Davis-moore was a major pain.

I got assigned to Ryan Cocking although Jonathan is the one that did most of the work- input my order in and answered most of my questions. Ryan was terrible about not returning calls.

Essentially I ordered my car on 7/28. When I placed my order I was told I was the second in line for an allocation and that they get their allocations on Thursday. The first Thursday (7/30) came and went- no news. After a few phone calls and texts, Ryan finally responded to me and informed me on Saturday that I was the next in line for an allocation but gave me no information on how many allocations they received that Thursday.

Then last Thursday (8/6) I received a message from him that they received my allocation. I was very excited. He said my order would go in that night. I was one very happy girl as you could imagine. Monday (8/10) I checked the status with Viz (Matt) and it still showed 1100. I placed a call to Ryan asking him about the status of my order. He didn't call me back all day.

Yesterday I decided to call and ask Jonathan since he's usually the only one there that I can get to answer questions. Jon wasn't due in until 1:00. Just a little after 1:00 Jonathan called me and told me that my order is moving along nicely but it hasn't been picked up by GM yet. You'd think I would be at 2000 waiting for 3000 if that were the case right? So I pressed Jon to tell me the order status code in his system and after hesitating a bit he told me it's 1102.

I said, "doesn't that mean it hasn't been allocated by your dealership yet?" He said, well but you're next in line. Of course, I'm fuming by now because I shouldn't be in a line anymore- my order was supposed to have been allocated last week. Even worse, 1102 sounds like I'm more like 2nd or 3rd down on the list not at the top. I informed Jon of my frustration, and that I no longer feel like I can believe anything they tell me. He said he would look into what happened and call me back. Three hours went by and no return phone call.

In the meantime, I located an open allocation at a dealer 20 miles away (Lubbers in Cheney) and placed an order for the same car. Within 1 hour I had a faxed copy of my order and a new bench order number. So I called Davis-Moore at about 4:00 pm yesterday to speak with the general sales manager who was on the phone, so I spoke with Jon and canceled my order and asked him to mail me back my deposit.

He verified my phone number in case the sales manager wanted to call me and talk to me which he hasn't. At this point I don't know what they did with the allocation that came in last week that should have been applied to my order. I talked to Hylton in Oshawa (on this forum) yesterday about this and he said the salesperson (Jon) would have known immediately when he looked at his computer if an allocation was applied to my order or not, so all that business about my order "moving along nicely" was just BS.

In the grand scheme of things, I only lost two weeks, and I know that's not a big deal. But as I pointed out to Jon yesterday, I could have tracked down an open allocation somewhere two weeks ago (cause I'm just that determined, instead I decided to place my order there, relying on good faith that I would be dealt with honestly, and be awarded an allocation based on the order in which my order and deposit was paid. That didn't happen and I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone.

I can't help but wonder if I didn't check with Viz and then check with the dealership yesterday how long it would have actually taken for them to apply an allocation to my order.
