I picked up 2 complete lowers today. A steal by today's standards. Sold one to a friend for a small handling fee and building a rifle with the other that I will be selling. Already have a M4 profile barrel, several gas blocks, multiple hand rails, pretty much just need a stripped upper, flash suppressor, and barrel nut.

It may vary by state and who is holding the Gun Show. All the ones I've been to have signs posted that to purchase ANY gun (rifle or handgun) you have to have the following; a valid photo id and either a CCL or a purchase permit issued by the county you reside in.

I've purchased several rifles at a Gun Show and despite the fact that NC says that they only require a photo ID on rifle sales, I had to provide my CCL because the dealers said if they didn't ask for it then they wouldn't be allowed to participate in any future Gun Shows.

This is the exact "LOOP HOLE" the government (and main stream media) is talking about. They want to have records for all these unregistered guns,.... registered.

But we aren't required to register firearms in Ga. What good would that do?

No, that's not correct... background checks are held for 6 months then trashed.

I was flagged by the ATF when I bought TOO many guns within a couple of months.

FINALLY got my FFL the other day.

Already have a NFA Trust for my class 3 goodies.

Negative, a 4473, the form you fill out to purchase a firearm must be kept for 25 years by the FFL license holder. If that company goes out of business, looses or gives up their license, BATFE then collects all of the forms left in that 25 year time span and holds on to them forever.

It's nice that you just told everyone that you committed one felony and will be committing another when you sell the second lower. Buying firearms with the intent to sell them requires a FFL (01 or better). Buying a lower and building it into a complete rifle for resale also requires you to pay the excise tax that wasn't paid on the lower by itself. You should look into the laws before you get yourself in trouble.
