The C6 Z06 and ZR1 have the aluminum structure which adds many $$$$$ to the base Corvette, but the C7 base now has the aluminum structure. So again what will the changes be? Anything significant?
The zr1 frame also has magnesium

Gotcha!

I don't see where they'll enhance the body like the GS - ZR1 of the C6 as the base body is quite aggressive.

I'm lovin it! As a current C6Z owner, I am lusting after this C7, can't wait to see the Z06/ZR1 versions. Makes me proud to be a Chevy owner!

I am pleasantly surprised by the Vette. Has me pondering if waiting for the ZR1 version would be a better idea than heavily modifying a 2014 Chevy SS. Totally different class of car, but I sure like the way the C7 looks.

You're right the different generations don't like alike ,but they all share key points that scream Corvette. There is no mistaking any generation of Corvette with any other vehicle on the road with the exception of the C7.

Myself and my father-in-law are huge Vette fans ,and this is a major fail for both of us. But, then again we were never into the transformer movies.
If I didn't know about all the generations of corvettes, I would not even consider the c1 to be a Corvette so that logic is wrong.. But if I saw a c6 and a c7 on the road next to each other with no badging whatsoever and didn't even know what a Corvette was, I would think the c7 was an updated version of the c6. They share enough elements to not be mistaken for something else.

For the ZO6, huge gains over a ~450hp/tq LT1 to start.
And then for the ZR1, likely boosted through the roof... GM did hint easily over 600hp.

No idea, im sure there will be something. I remember watching the test mules roaming around out west somewhere there seemed to be different wheels on one and also one of them might have had a more raised hood. I say "might" because, afterall, maybe the camo was just tighter on that car. We'll see

Power and suspension improvements definitely. And then some subtle (or not so subtle) styling/design cues to set it apart from the base Stingray. Come to think of it... imagine when a convertible version is introduced. That'll raise the excitement level even more.

The frame lost weight. According to chief corvette engineer, Juechter, the car overall gained weight over the base c6. Source: http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/...racle/1823951/

I think you took what I was saying wrong. There is no problem with rap stars and basketball players buying them. What I meant was, if this happens it will prove your point about it finding that new crowd of buyers.

Maybe we're saying the same thing but in a different way.

Same difference.

Anyone have seen a closeup pic of where the capless fuel cover is located?
