So what exactly does your concensus tell you at the beginning of each month? Just V6 vs V8 total allocation for the month? If so, why wouldn't you just place all the corresponding orders accordingly that day?

I'm sure it does man, but sometimes you gotta make lemonade from lemons. See how it pans out for you, and if it doesn't meet your schedule then use it as an opportunity to save up another 6 mos and just have that much more down payment AND get more features.

Probably. However, the 2010 2010s may have additional features available.

Funny that the ratio of GM Camaro show cars is roughly 80% V8 and 20% V6, The pre-orders are roughly 80% V8 and 20% V6, but production is 50/50 at best or flipped 20%/80%. If they follow the path they did with the "new" GTO and sell a grand total of 40k cars over 3 years they will fail. Ford listened to the Mustang owners and sold 200K a year. If GM repeats their arrogance and tells the market they have all of the right answers, the market will drive them to bankruptcy. There are a lot of intelligent people at GM. Unfortunately big egos, personal greed and high level politics kill sensibility.

If worse comes to worse and and they drag out the V8's by flooding the market with V6's, grab yourself a V6 RS, strip out the driveline and put an LSX in it.

Hopefully, this is just a simple blip in production. Time will tell. Be as patient as you can allow yourself to be. At least they are still actually producing the 5th gen Camaro.

Glad I ordered the 2LT!

Eh, the delay gives me more time to build up a down payment.

Here's a question to ponder now. Maybe someone can give some insight. Since Scotty has written down that there might be new stripe options and more info, and with the prod. startup being pushed back a month, is there also a similar extension of when our orders have to be 'finalised'?
Cause, (not to start another thread about stripes and be a 70copo) I REALLY would love bumblebee stripes from the factory, and who knows what other little details might come to surface

Oh wait, I shouldn't use a smiley face in this thread. Totally goes against the doom and gloom vibe in here. :( there thats better

We don't know yet and won't know for a month. With Corvette, you have Vette, Z06 and ZR1. I would assume V6 and V8 would be seperate.

not sure you will have more time, it could be dramatically less depending on where your spot in line is.

as of right now im the first V6 ordered at my dealership, with 10 V8s in front of me. Im not entirely sure i didnt just jump the line entirely and might end up one of the first to get mine. Who knows whats really going to happen but at this point I wouldnt count out the possibility that yours will come in sooner than expected.

I was the 7th Camaro ordered overall at my dealership, 2nd V6. I'm quite sure I'll be getting my car rather early.

I wonder how Wal-Mart would have handled this???

I'm pretty sure they meant more colors will be installed at the factory, not a different type, i.e. longer, stripe. If Copo shows up now, I'm gonna kick yo....

Takes a while to get caught up on 18 pages doesn't it, CC? Not pretty is it?

our apologies to the GM people that had us remove the video we shared. There was nothing at the beginning of that broadcast that said it was private and not intended for public broadcast..others have, this one did not.

We felt it was so important to share the actual words regarding that "sold orders do not determine allocaton" great to hear so everyone can attempt to be on the same page.

Our intent to give the customer straight talk via GM and ourselves to avoid any further confusion. We have been at this long enough to know better.

We too, care and are concerned about the product and how the customer is handled or we would not have even made the effort to inform folks what is going on. As for being private, I know for a fact, some customers were invited to the dealership to view this broadcast and did.

Thank-you for understanding and we have complied, the video is down. Have a great weekend and look for move informed details we are allowed to share as we have them. This is a car worth waiting for and our hats off to Gm and the Camaro team for bringing her back to life......

Thumbs up
Rick Conti/Greg Sanders
