45th Anniversary Edition 2012 Camaro and New 3.6L LFX V6 Engine

Although the Apple vs Microsoft argument is a good one (I have 3 Mac's and will never own another Window's PC) I think we should stick to the 2012 discussion. There are some folks on here that have some questions about retro-fitting and options that are being over-looked.

Lets try and help these guys out...

And that reminds me... where is the standard electric power steering? I thought for sure that would make it this year after the ZL1 went public with the news. Maybe GM is waiting for the beast to get it first so GM can say "All New EPS from the ZL1 is standard for 2013!!!" It could change, but that's a pretty big upgrade and I would imagine that EPS would have been the first thing out of their mouths if it was a GO.

If that's the case, then I'll wait for the 2012 model. Any idea how much a 10/11 steering would cost because my plan was, if it was possible, buy a 2012 Camaro and fit the steering wheel from the 10/11 model onto it. I'm not a fan of the new steering wheel, but the updates make it worth waiting.

Looking foward to seeing the real pics of the Anniversary edition. I'm liking the new spoiler too even if it does look a lot like the old one. It does look a little more agressive to me. What I'm wondering is if the high wing spoiler got tossed. Can't say I'd be too upset about that.

I personally don't like OnStar, but I do like the ability to remotely disable the car if it's stolen. LoJack is garbage with a high fail rate.

MyLink is an information center screen that also has bluetooth connectivity. While it would be great to have everything available on screen or to an app, it all begins with connectivity. And MyLink is the first step; the rest is software.

I have to ask...how in the hell do you survive without all these hi-tech things in your 4th gens?

Caddy-level tech?? I can get that option in a $20,000 Hyundai Elantra -- but not a $50,000 Chevy?

The point is that you are not buying a Camaro for its tech. You are buying a Camaro for muscle. If you want tech fine, buy a Cruze.

Verts are on the lot for $43k. Add tax, title, extra crap, and what do you know, you're approaching 50k.

And I can get it in a GT500, which somehow Ford manages to make an option on a 550hp, $50,000 car.

I'm not saying its for everybody. I'm saying GM's biggest competitor manages to make it an option on a comparable car. Make of that what you will.

It also wasn't mentioned as a possibility in the ZL1, which I'm sure 'the most technically advanced Camaro ever made' could be interpreted to include

I'm not asking it to make breakfast, I'm asking it to have a feature option that a car costing half as much has, and a comparable GT500 has. Really, is that a lot to ask.
