Got into a casual conversation with a guy who told me that he could tell my car had been repainted because the quality was better than factory. I kept telling him I just take care of it and it wasn't repainted. He just kept going and going...... We ended up arguing over if my car was repainted or not.

The other day it got one from someone I know.

She goes "Nice Car"

I say "Thanks" and her next comment is "Is it yours?"

Just because I'm young doesn't mean I can't afford a nice car!

Not one person has said anything derogatory about our car or choice of it.

We have had many compliments on our 2014 SS and some of those have come from FORD people.

When people realize I'm driving the V6 then they start shitting on me. I always get comments like "Why would you buy a V6? That's not a sports car!" I also get comments like "why would you get an automatic? Real race cars are standard!" I usually respond to the last comments "Welcome to the 21st century, automatic and tap shift is the way of the future. Quit living in the past."

I was in our daily driver few weeks ago ('87 Pontiac GP 305c.i.) on Hwy. 26 going toward downtown. New Challenger WITH dealer tags on it (392c.i.) pulled up along side me then nailed it and let off. Did the same thing again. I just ignored the idiot but did wonder what he was trying to prove?
This attitude reminded me of the Mustang owners who got their doors blown off by my '87 Turbo Buick years ago.

But generally I don't get derogatory remarks. There may be a post in here from me about the salesman at the dealership talking to me about the Z/28. That was like a year ago? Right after it was announced. He really had no clue. Completely uneducated about it. It wasn't shocking.

I got my Camaro when I was 21. Saved for 2 years in my first full-time job to buy that car. I am insanely emotionally attached to the car. I literally spent no money for 2 years. I have never had anybody question my ability to buy the car. Most people who know me know that I drive an 04 Buick Century all the time. haha I am modest.

The only crap I get is from my Ford, Mopar, and VW friends. But I'm no nicer to them so it's all good.

I've had a hopped up M3 on the highway pull up next to me (i'm in the middle lane just cruising) and do the accelerate next to you thing. I have my daughter in the car, so I just told her, "These are the kind of retards you don't want to pay attention to, kiddo." I gave him the "move along" brush off and he punched and tore off down the highway. Hope I didn't hurt his ****** too bad by dismissing him.

Have a guy here at work who looked at my car and laughed and said he would never buy one of those. I asked why and he said they're not his style. I could respect that, until he walked over and unlocked his Prius.
