I sure hope they worked that lag out of that 1.5 turbo. That 1.4 turbo I had in the Buick Encore I just got rid of was horrible...

Which 1.4 in the Encore did you have? I had a 2013 Encore with the 138hp 1.4 and it was like you said, bad turbo lag, I test drove the Encore Sport Touring back in April with the 153hp 1.4 and it had no turbo lag. I traded immediately for it. We really like it. (Plus it was the color we liked)

Whoops, you're right. I was looking at the previous gen 2017's not the new 18's.

The new highway #s are 32 mpg for the 1.5L turbo & 29 mpg for the 2.0L turbo. So 39 mpg for the diesel is still a pretty big improvement.

The 2 row Tahoe at lower price point is a go! I owned an LTZ in the past but I'm no longer looking for all that stuff..I'm interested
