Hey Sulli, no VIN for me yet per camarotracking.com. Still hanging out at 3400. I tend to wonder if that is really the case, though. I received another email from the site today, but when I logged on, nothing had changed. What part of Cali do you live in? What dealer? I'm hoping to see that VIN tomorrow. I definitely do not want to bother VIZ anymore. I can be patient, to a degree.

So, question here: Does the factory work 24/7? In other words, could they be building my rig right now??? Mine is also an SS/RS.

HA! I just ordered a sub box from ******** Steve. As you can tell; I am jonesing for this rig. Now I get to track my sub box and car at th same time. I'm thinking the box gets here first

I got mine from Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach. The sales guy "Ken Bundy" was actually right on with the timing. I asked him if he ever ate a customer that pissed him off, he was not ammused.

I live right by Knott's Berry Farm. Mr. Bundy told me that this area gets the cars pretty fast from the factory, I guess there are a lot of sales.

I am sure that the rest of our group will get a VIN real soon.

I am getting the 1SS 6spd manual black on black with the only option of the Boston Acoustics stereo. That could be the reason mine has a VIN already.

YOU WILL GET THE VIN TODAY!! I WOULD ASK VIZ, HE HAD MINE BEFORE THE CAMAROTRACKING DID

I thought I saw a recent post by Pumkin(I think) about what to do when the we get a railcar number from Camaro Tracking. Has anyone seen that post? It was about how to call in to the rail company.

I dunno, but my nieghbor works for Union Pacific...once I have the rail number I hope to have him help track it and hopefully get pictures of it on the train, coming off the train, going on the truck...

Once you have a railcar #, call 1-800-235-2352 (never talk to a human, only use the automated system....it could shut down the system for everyone)

it will tell you the calls may be monitored and you'll here the phone ring a few more times.

Press 1 (for location)
Press 32 81 81 92 (for the cars initials ETTX)
Press ------ (enter your railcar# PUNKIN's is 905714...if you want to try now)
Then say the word done, or press ##

It should give you the location of your car at that point...

Have fun, let me know if you have any more questions....find me on the 10/19 TPW thread.

Once you hear that your rail car is "EMPTy" you will need to go to the forum boards at camarotracking.com and post in the threads there for a Truck Update...at that point Dreammy will help you track by truck (I haven't gotten that far yet)

DON'T TALK TO THE RAIL COMPANY

I.E. If it transfers you to a live person hang-up..

We are only supposed to use the automated system... if the rail company starts getting call's they will stop giving out the car#......
