the ss has more in common with the g8 than any other car ,lol
you camaro was designed by holden as far as the running gear .
they just added a retro body .

And your car is just a reworked Holden Monaro whats your point? Wow they changed the front end to a Pontiac and called it GTO. IMO there are a few other Holden products that need to make the trip on over.

i know it is a holden ,and i love the way holden does there cars .
yes i would love to see more holdens here in the states .
the fact that it is a holden , and not a product of UAW is why it is such a great car for the cost .

my point is that the camaro is not a new design its a new body on another car .
"bumble bee" was a gto lol

my point is that the gto top of the line model was alot less money than the camaro.
there is no v6 model of the gto. there is only one motor for m6 and a4 .
i will bet there are more 2010 ss cars than the total production of the gto.
i like the rare car. and when i do see one on the road ,there is a good chance that i know them .

The best my 67 GTO ever ran was 13.70 @103 mph in the 1/4 mile with a slightly modified 428 engine from a 67 Catalina, Turbo 400 and 3:55 gears. My 2010 LS V6 Stock ran 14.47 @ 98mph with just a K&N air filter installed. A stock 64 to 70 GTO with a standard 389 or 400 only ran in the low to mid 14's at around 96 to 99 mph. The Ram Air II and IV GTO's ran in the low to mid 13's @ over 100 mph. The new 5th Gen Camaro's both the V6 and LS3 and LS99 have it all. (Speed, good looks and decent gas mileage). I never considered the 2004 to 2006 GTO's as true GTO's. They were nothing more than a GM V8's in an Australian Holden. If Pontiac would had buildt the 1998 concept GTO with the LS-1 and LS-2 motors in 2004 to 2006, who know's maybe Pontiac would still be a GM name plate and could be now building 2010 Trans-Ams and Formulas along with Chevy's Camaro.

the firebird was dead from the begining of the new camaro design, gm was done building competing body styles .

and the original gto was a rebadged tempest with a 389 in it .
you will never need to check if your "04 05 06 v8 gto is a clone "
there were no v6 versions.

when you pull up to light next to a gto ,you know it is a sub 5 sec 0-60 car at the
very least.
some are much quicker .
((mine at set up to race around 3.5 sec 0-60 mph ) on the stock 3.46 gears )

Again...I just cant resist.... where do you guys get this stuff?

The msrp of a 2006 GTO was 31290 starting. That is more than where a 2010 1SS starts at in the year 2010. The 2SS starts at 33,995.

Adjust the starting price for the GTO for inflation and it is 33254 with 2009 numbers. Plug in the numbers for 2010 when they are available and it will be even with a 2SS or worse. Either way...it is not a LOT cheaper...or cheaper at all for that matter. Just some more BS based off of personal opinion.

And I am talking about MSRP...not what people could get them for because dealers were giving them away because they didnt sell. MSRP to MSRP is the only FAIR way to compare price.

Do you just think this stuff up because it makes you feel warm inside? or do you just get the wrong information all the time? or maybe you thought that no one would care to check?

The Camaro and G8 are not identical chassis'. The Camaro suspension and wheelbase is reworked. The G8 is Zeta, the Camaro is a Zeta 2.

Dealer down the road from me was giving 6K cash back + employee pricing on them just to get them off his lot cause no one wanted them.
