Hey Ivan....Can't wait to see all the new modifications on your car next weekend! Jealous here! Oh well...I can live through your mods! We are out in sunny Phoenix...it was 112 degrees today! Supposed to cool off this weekend!

112 degrees! I almost moved to Phoenix a while back. I'm so glad I didn't.

Beth watch out for those speed cameras, they are everywhere in Phoenix and I know how you drive, lol. " I really am a good driver and I look out for cops".

Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA for a while...I've been living in Gallup and working for Boys and Girls club mentoring kids for the summer. They literally have me working morning, day, and night and it's exhausting. But fortunately it's given me plenty of extra Camaro cash and I've been slowly transforming my baby.

So far I have installed a Volant cold air intake system and painted my rims gunmetal. I also plan to lower it about an inch with either an Eibach or Pedders system and then on to maybe some longtubes and a tune (Ivan I may be getting in touch with you soon lol). Oh I need some new tires so that'll be my next expenditure lol but after that on to the "throw your ass in the seat" upgrades

I won't be moving back to Albuquerque until mid-August (although I will be there in 2 weeks for my CCW training - but that will consume most of my time so I don't think I'll have any time for meet ups or track runs unfortunately) but as soon as I get back into Albuquerque I'll be there for good and can't wait to meet back up with my local Camaro5 family.

Hope your meets and track days are going well and can't wait to see and hear what you guys are doing to your rides!

Great to hear from you. Work sometimes consumes us but in your case I can honestly say that you are (at least) doing it for the "greater good."

How did your wheels come out painted?? Slam up some pics when you get a chance, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see em!

That Volant is a nice piece. I've seen a few move through the "shop" lately.

Track days are going better for some than others....LMAO! With that said, nothing has "encouraged" me more than SMS to spend more money on the Sizzle. Hopefully she'll be done by Late Friday afternoon, but I'm not goign to rush them. They have a lot of shit left to do on her.

Keep in touch and come down whenever you get a day.

Thanks for checkin in Scott!

Take care and watch out for Turn 11....she's a DOOZIE!

ROFLMAO

Ain't that the TRUFE!

112* is just rediculous. I totally don't hate having to go over to Yuma and El Centro to bail out the Weps guys. I remember 120-130 temps on the Tarmac.

Hell with that...no pun intended.

My wife consented to creating a list of exhaust modifications for her to purchase for me. She wants a boat... excuse me, BOUGHT a boat. I will definately be hitting up Ivan for some advice on the subject!

Thinking - Doug Thorley: LT headers [No cats], Edelbock X-Pipe, I already own the GMPP Axel-back Exhaust, I would also lke to add either a QTP: Electric Cut-out, of NoWeeds Electric Cut-out. That is all. for now lol.

Of course, I would then go Cam and Underpully kit - but I have a lot to learn about cams before I decide on one.

Joe.

A BOAT!???

So when is the official C5 Lake Party? LOL

Congrats, boats are a great time man!

I like the way you're thinking with the Camaro. Been doing silly amounts of Cam research. When you're ready, I'll be more than happy to pass along some advice to ya!

Here's to a great weekend y'a;;!

Now, off to work I go,
Ivan

Here's a few quick pics with my phone of my newly painted rims. I love the color - it's like 2 colors in one (dark gray in the light and almost black in the dark )

Let's start a guessing game on how much it cost me to get them painted hehehe

Lol...One guess was way too high and one guess was low - and no, they aren't dirty! They are painted (although I could have shined them a little more - just look at my tires lol).

The guy charged me $100 and had them done in 2 days flat - not too bad

He's the main painter at the Amigo Chevrolet body shop here in Gallup and he's very talented. You should see some of his other work
