You can, but there is no seal to protect it. The seal rests behind this piece on the radiator support. This area can get dirt, and water on it, and water can leave water spots, which we all hate. But, glass cleaner takes care of them really quick.

Thankfully, this piece comes out in about 30 seconds, so we recommend it for display only. It's really up to the customer.

Hmmmmm, may have to get it anyway and carry a bottle of windex and a rag in the trunk. I never know when someone wants me to pop the hood, so I would like to have it there all the time, very impressive looking.

It is hard to get a picture of the mirror stainless stuff. We have learned a few tricks here over the years.

Keep them coming,

OK, here's mine. I'll be checking my oil more often now just to show it off!

ok here is mine. just got it this afternnon and alrerady installed it. took maybe 10 minutes to install. just to let you all know you don't need to take off the hood shield/cover just take out the 4 tops plugs and you can easily fit hand inside to put the washers and nuts on the bolts. much easier in my opinion.

Here's mine. Just installed today, looks so great, my dad said it was a shame that it is under the hood so not that many people can see it .

no it's fine I don't drive it in the rain and you just dab it with a chamois while wet when you wash
