i drove down to texas to order from classic.. i wish i could get an idea of when it could possibly come in. eric, can you pull up my order# and give your best estimate??

Order # is NGWMJM.
Thanks for the call on the 1SS you had in, I'm waiting on another $1700 to put down that should be coming in Sept, or I would have taken it for sure. The wait is killing me.

I know I'm probably still looking at Oct/Nov unless I get lucky.

By the way Julie, did you ever get that gum thing taken care of?

Hey everyone. I am new to the forum but have been "stalking" for a bit. I live pretty close to Classic in Grapevine and was going to go in the next few days and order a Camaro since I have read great things about them and they don't sell above msrp.

I have an agent at a local leasing company who has been looking for a Camaro for me, and she called today and said she got a call on a Red SS/RS with black leather that will be delivered within the next few days; it was an order that the buyer just backed out of. The price would be $2k over msrp; she is confident that the car will sell tomorrow if I don't jump on it. It is being held until tomorrow morning for me to make a decision.

Normally I wouldn't even consider paying over msrp, but seeing the numbers of backlogged orders, I am wondering if I should jump on this deal to have a car next week, or if it makes more sense to wait. The whole "good things come to those who wait" comes to mind, but the carrot is dangling in front of me. My first new car as a teen was a 1987 Camaro...I have been waiting for the 2010 since the day I heard it would be produced.

For those of you who are ordering now, how long are you being told the wait is?

Originally, I was looking for a 2LT, IOM with the IO interior. But having an SS/RS dangled in front of me is KILLING me.

Any thoughts?

Have you talked to Eric at Classic? When could he get you one? Either way I think You will love the car.....its a tough call..........

Yeah, I spent a couple of hours getting the gum off myself....but i'm going into classic to pick up my plates and Eric is going to have the service department check the area to make sure I got all of the gum out.

Goodluck on your wait....I know how it feels....the days seem to creep by.

I let the 2SS/RS go....just couldn't pay two grand over MSRP. I have a message in to Eric to see what he can do. I may just place an order and get in line, bu tI don't know if I have the patience.
