It's a piece of cake after you do about 30 LED's.

It isn't really that hard. It's just time consuming. Don't rush it and you'll be fine.

I changed mine (Dash, Radio, gauge cluster) to white right after I got the car. I bought a temperature controlled soldering iron with a flat tip. Heat is your enemy, so take caution and take your time. I have had to pull mine back out and replace some of the LED's that went dark. Has worked since then.

Bingo! And get good equipment! That's not the area to skimp on when it comes to this job. I recommend a very fine tip for the solder gun.

I'm having trouble with the temp gauge after putting everything back together. The other gauges are fine but the temp gauge gets stuck at the below c with a clicking sound and you can visibly see the needle shaking.
If I take a paper clip and push it up just a little to the c then it's fine and will function correctly with all the other needles when I put the key in the ignition but once I remove the key from the ignition and a 10-15 seconds goes by it drops down below c and starts clicking again. Any ideas? Thank you. |

When you put the needle back on, did it line up with the C before you pushed it in completely?

I don't believe so...I think I put them on close to but then adjusted them after they were completely on. I think I'll take it apart again and try putting it on lined up with the c and see. My brother thinks it was an alignment problem because he said he flipped it around while it was all together was able to see the back of the motor through the casing and just pushed up a little on the back of the motor and it stopped. I havent seen it yet but I'll post back. Thank you. Last edited by ComputerMan; 04-07-2015 at 04:52 PM. |

ALL Finished Thank you For this Great DIY
All done!! Decided to do white into the green fade for the numbers. Only issue is I couldn't get the LED's in the speedometer needle to work .So I lost out on that backlight but other than that it came out amazing . Thanks again.
