Even those that use the transverse version are thinning out quickly.
A lot of the LGX and family (LGW, LGY, LGZ) got their final year in cars in 2019.

Ended
LGW
Cadillac CT6 2016-2019
LGX
Cadillac ATS, CTS, CT6 2016-2019
Buick Lacrosse 2017-2019
Buick Regal GS, Holden Commodore 2018-2020
Chevy Camaro 2016-2024

Current
LGX
Cadillac XT5, GMC Acadia 2017+
Chevy Blazer 2019+
Cadillac XT6 2020+
LGZ (LGX truck variant)
GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado 2017+

Out of the ‘previous’ generation of v6 from GM, only the LF4 (CT4-V Blackwing 2022+) and LFY (Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse 2017+) are still in production. And the LFY is the LFX but with start-stop.

lol, I think its a bit more complicated than a flash & engine swap.

Dude, go easy, it's your first car. Just get your 1LT in a v6, or get a 2LT.

Dude, LTG Camaros aren’t going to suddenly disappear off the planet. There’s no point rushing to buy a new car that you’re not ready to afford. Much better to grab a low mile used one, they’ll be $10k on every dealer lot in a few years.

GM is a sad company to discontinue such an awesome machine many people love. I waited over a year for my new ZL1 1LE and it's incredible. Everyone should continue to have a chance at a Camaro.

Did you not even consider getting the V6 instead of a 1SS?
not really,i dont like the V6 i may get a 1SS, i know my parents are not going
to be happy about it of me getting a V8 camaro, and i dont like 1LT, because i think its garbage, but we will see, i still got time

Well, of course it's your decision to make, but I had the LGX and there's nothing wrong with it. Parent friendly, cheap to operate on 87 gas, revs fairly high (almost 7500 rpm), you can get a pretty good sounding exhaust for it (NPP or Borla etc.), and will last you forever, I honestly don't know what's not to like about it vs the LTG.

Unless you want to mod the heck out of an LTG and squeeze 400-450 hp out of it, which will of course destroy any longevity and you'll be looking for another Camaro in short order.

In your shoes, I'd just get the LGX and be happy with a 2LT or 3LT. Buying used, as mentioned above, is another very appealing option that I would seriously consider.

i like the LTG because my family had a 2016 buick regal and loved the way it performed and also gas milage(and a 2011 with the older turbo motor, but that was riddled with problems) and buying used wont have the options i want and high mileage for some cars out there and i need to convince my parents to go to the dealer and order the car, before its too late to do so

Not really if you want to order a new one. You have 9 months until production ends.
