Who ordered from Classic??

Normally I wouldn't even consider paying over msrp, but seeing the numbers of backlogged orders, I am wondering if I should jump on this deal to have a car next week, or if it makes more sense to wait. The whole "good things come to those who wait" comes to mind, but the carrot is dangling in front of me. My first new car as a teen was a 1987 Camaro...I have been waiting for the 2010 since the day I heard it would be produced.

For those of you who are ordering now, how long are you being told the wait is?

Originally, I was looking for a 2LT, IOM with the IO interior. But having an SS/RS dangled in front of me is KILLING me.

Any thoughts?

Everyone is going to have a different answer for this, so im afraid it wont be much help....However, I think there are a couple of questions you need to ask yourself before you make your decision:
1) Is this the EXACT camaro you want? Or, would you get a different color, lt, 1ss instead of 2ss, ect. If there is anything you would change about this car as compared to if you were to order one I would say most definately wait. i would not want to buy something that was not exactly what i wanted.
2) If this is the exact one you would get, is 2k more worth it to not have to wait? When i spoke to Alex at Classic yesterday, he said new orders should be arriving in 4-5 month, so youre looking at Nov or Dec before you get it probably. If waiting is not a big deal to you, then i say save yourself 2k. However, i can say that if i had a chance to buy my exact order 4-5 months early, for 2k more, I would most definately would have. Of course this is because i want to be one of the first ones to have one, and get all the attention that comes with it, come nov or dec that wont be the case. once again, some people dont care about that.

so, those are the two biggest questions id ask myself.. first and for most, dont get it if its not exactly what you would get if you were ordering one.

If i were in your shoes and found my exact order, for 2k over id get it.

oh and one more thing, everyone on here will tell you different for this too, but if you do order one from classic, Alex Rivera has been excellent, i bought a truck from him too and he has been great to deal with. He has my number on speed dial and lets me know about my car as soon as he knows. So I HIGHLY reccomend him if you decide to order..tell him ryan sent ya

Drove by Classic last night and there was a rally yellow SS with black stripes sitting in front of the internet sales building. Walked around it a few times just to drool...hadn't seen one up close until now. Unfortunately, it had two "dings" on the roof and the paint was chipped off. Other than that, an ABSOLUTELY gorgeous car.

I then went up to Parra, just because they said they had one on the floor that I could actually sit in, etc. FINALLY got to actually sit in and feel the Camaro wrapped around me...it was rally yellow as well. I love this car. While I was there, a couple was taking delivery of a 1LT with cloth interior, supposedly for $5500 over MSRP according to the sales guy. The car was gorgeous, but I felt bad for the people who paid a $5k premium for it.

I am sooooo ready for mine....I guess it is time to place an order and get in line. The biggest issue for me now is what color to pick. I originally had decided I wanted inferno orange. Then I saw the rally yellow up close and LOVE it (the wife hates yellow, so that is an issue as well). I've seen pics on this forum of the SIM and IBM, and I love them as well.....heh. This is gonna be a tough call. The good thing is, there really isn't a bad choice.

I would guess you'd have a month or two to change the color before your car goes into build status.

I just went to Classic in Sugarland. Wow! I was helped by James Danielson and Emmett Waldron and they were great. I live in Tomball and it is a bit of a drive down to Sugarland but well worth it. I ordered a 2SS/RS for my mom. I have been to quite a few dealers and just could not pay 5-10k over sticker. I was willing to pay 1-2k over but I was surprised when Emmett Waldron told me they do not charge over sticker. $37510.00 for 2SS/RS, Auto., and sunroof. From walking in to the dealership to finishing the order and back in my car took all of 15 min. I can't wait to see my 76 year old mom in her car!

they still had some allocations left when i drove off the lot. did you get one of them? i have never bought a new car in my life but those guys in sugarland are so good to their customers it's unreal

I got to see your car on Friday while I was there. Emmett Waldron wanted to show me what I had ordered. Your car is incredible. I almost switched to your Silve Ice Met. They were just getting the allocations in but they were not the one Mom wanted.(I say it is for her but I will probably be driving it a few times)
