I performed my non scientific testing session again this morning. Exact same speed 70 MPH. Same weather conditions. 37 degrees and dry. Same distance 25 miles.

Its not Fibbin. I live East of Baton Rouge and drive south Through Livingston Parish to the South side of BR to go to work. There is very few stop signs and even fewer red lights. State highways with a posted limit of 55mph. Between settlements there is anywhere from 5 to 15 miles of open road to cruise on. Easily see 30mpg once highway speed is achieved. Factor in the few stop and go situations and it drops to 25 or 27 depending on whether i cruise or use the gas pedal on take offs.

Thats really not an accurate way to measure what you're actually getting for MPG. I mean I could only count going downhills and get 70mpg. What do you get for MPG, door to door, home to work and back?

Not sure I understand your point. I am trying to show what the Camaro can get on a highway while setting the cruise, at a certain speed over a certain distance, this does count up hills and down hills.

As for my door to door home to work MPG. I got 23.8 MPG during my last 350 mile run on the tank. Both the gage and my caculation came to the same conclusion. And this was not just all highway. And certainly not babying the runs either.

To all those that don't think the K&N filters are worth it: My son and i race dirt track cars and use K&N filters and Wix oil filters. We had our engines rebuilt after approximate 40 to 50 races. NO REBORE nessciary. The Filters did their job. By the way i'm getting combined ave. with my v6 of 23 plus. Mixsure of highwaydriving and 7 autocross runs at Camaro 5 feast. I still ave.25.5 on the 600 mile trip.Who needs a v8 is my question. Racer 65 PETE. 2LT AUTO. Sunroof Aqua Blue.

At just over 2k miles now and mileage is up to 23 combined. Of course that is with warmer weather and I think the fuel blend around town has been switched over from the winter blend.

7500 miles on the car. I just did a 330 mile drive to Vegas from San Diego, and back. on the way there i averaged 28.1mpg, doing 72 mph. on the way back i averaged 26.8. had some real bad stop and go traffic too for about 90 miles because of an accident and border patrol.

I averaged 31mpg from the texas pan handle to flagstaff arizona. No fibbin here either.

Another update on mileage. Last 3 fill-ups have been 23.5 to 24.8 MPG. That is both from the computer and actual numbers. I am truly happy to have this kind of performance and mileage in one complete package.

Well I finished my 1000 mile test.. with approximately 50-50 split of highway and city driving, We averaged 22 MPG, and 30 MPH. I reset the MPG and drove at a constant 70MPH on the interstate for 40 miles in North Carolina. During that period we averaged 34 MPG.
We now have over 6,600 miles on the car. On regular 87 octane gas.

That is impressive. To have MPG like that and performance when wanted.
