i felt similar to you concerning some of the changes but i'm optimistic the aftermarket will help me re-create the concept... besides i'm certain we will all be surprised when we see it officially unveiled with proffesional shots and all

i suppose thats true, but now we have to put in more cash, though i was planning a few changes i didnt expect the from bumper to be one, but i suppose you are right, after market will help or its true too that after the real thing is revealed officially the photo's may be a bit more convincing.

Talked to the general manager of my Chevy dealership today. Not an actual viewing on the 22nd, only a satilite viewing. Soooo, ??? Is the viewing for all that way or do the big dealers get to go see it in person? I'm in a town of about 25,000

It looks beautiful...
but I hate the license plate spot! I have a 2005 Mustang and I do not have a license plate on the front (cars looks better with out one), but it looks okay because the way the bumper is shaped. I wish it could be moved down into the bottom grill somehow :(

Be careful what you ask for! Could be a LOT worse. At least they didn't drill the bumper! :-]

No offense to the Solstice team, but that's an example of designing without keeping a front plate mount in mind. The Camaro makes the best of a bad requirement.

From what we've been shown already from GM I see more opportunties to customize the appearance of this car than the 4th gen ... and I mean in ways that look like it could have come from the factory that way and not funny stuck-on things like some ricer. I like the 4th gen style but I always felt like it was so stylized and curvy that you really couldn't add much to it and deviate from the original lines without it looking a little 'off'. With the 4th gen you couldn't work exhaust tips into the camaro bumper unless you bought the ground effects, which i never liked. This one, you just get a different lower bumper-thing to fit what you want. Front grills? That's cake for the aftermarket. Imagine all the spoilers and hoods that will actually look decent on this car without making it look like a rice-rocket. You can imagine many different looks that will each look like natural extensions of the 'base' style of the car.

Its like with building a fast car, it matters a lot what baseline you are starting from. I think this one looks strong as is and more importantly will be a good base to build on appearance & power-wise. That's one of the things that will make it great, IMHO

At risk of stating the obvious, this car is still an IVER and yet it already looks better then the production mustang. And its dirty!! Ha.

I will always wonder what exactly people consider a 'Jersey Slang'. If it's the NORTH Jersey accent, I totally understand. But South Jersey has very little accent/slang.

I'm from South Jersey and even I am annoyed by so few people that can say water. They insist it's wooder.

Aside from that, we sound no different than anyone on television (I watch tons of TV, trust me on this. We are as accentless as those on such shows as Bones, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, Supernatural, Smallville) or in most movies (unless it takes place in an obviously accented area such as the south or Louisiana).

North Jersey has a horrible accent though.

What I want to know is...why is there such Animosity between North and South Jersey? It's like the modern day Mason-Dixon Line. HA!
