Put the two wires in a wall socket. That always works but you have to video it for a diy.

now that deserves some of these ...... i really hope you're not serious because last thing you want to do is tap into the wrong wire and short circuit your lights .... the opening of the lens and sealing them back up with silicon is the easy part, wiring it the right way with the ground, positive, negative wires is another story
