Ha, you and me both. I'm stuck in FLA...

Also as a reminder to all Camaro5 members that are within driving distance of Jacksonville, they are filming a segment of the Great American Car War this weekend. Here is the info:

The best time will be when the Camaro is on the Dyno which should be Saturday between 3PM and 4PM and will last about an hour.

I am not guaranteeing it, but people there watching may get in the show. Also we may see a few of the cars the audience drove. But no guarantees.

EFI Alchemy will be the Camaro performance shop.

No Joy. Got shot down by the service mgr.

I had NRE one-wire the alternator and give me a remote start switch. Will have to figure it out in Florida. Will give us time to figure it out while being able to enjoy the SST...

Not the optimal solution, but it will be really nice to have the car back. It has been almost three years.

NRE really did their best to figure out the BCM, but it is truly a computer issue, not a 'car' issue.

Wow, the good thing is it is headed back to Florida...

Hopefully there is someone out there somewhere that can fix this for you... I'm hoping for your sake...

Unfortunately I think we were so busy and caught up in stuff we didn't get to talk while I was home...

I'm still interested in discussing what you mentioned...

Hopefully we can this next time home...

And B, I got some wire cutters, and good intentions too if you need them.

I may take you up on that. Wire cutters are underrated...

I would give them a call to see when they are going out.

With all of the delays we kick ourselves in the butt for not getting them on already, but at this point we are going to wait until next winter.

It is time to drive it. Will race it some, but really at this point, I just want to hop in, turn the key and take the SST out for some fun...

Call me a geek, but..... keep track of your fuel mileage ok?

Gallons per mile the first few weeks?

Anxious to see what you can do on the high side eventually tho

After this much waiting it may be miles per tires! Good big piece of flat pavement and then sign SST in black rubber!

Not really SST, but I came across these pictures of the Firebird (Freebird) from September 1980... Pretty cool. The Cragar S/S 15x10 with ProTrac N50-15 tires. Competition Engineering Traction bars. You can even see the posi tag on the rearend. (4.10 gears). Muncie M-21 4 speed. Note that fender flares were the way to go back then... Also notice the CarCraft 'Crusin USA' sticker in the back window. This was the second engine I had built for it. [Edit: Just color corrected the pictures since they were so faded.. ]
