The 16th is a road course day, which is what I am looking to do versus a drag strip. I am not on Facebook so I have no idea on that. I will try to call later today.

Ok for anyone interested in the open track day (road course) at Arroyo Seco this Sat the 16th, I have some more info. The only safety item needed is a current helmet. Street legal cars are good to go with no changes. Gates open at 9, on track by 9:15 (if you want). Usually around 10 cars show so it is open track. Passing is limited to 3 locations and is point/wave bye from the lead car.
Anyone else thinking about going? If no problems between now and then, I should be there.

Doesn't look like anyone else is. Woke up early, too excited to sleep! This will be my first time on a track. Have to finish getting supplies ready, relax some and then leave for that 2 hour drive.

It was crazy fun. We had the track for ourselves the whole day. In the afternoon a turbo Miata came out to play making us both look bad in the corners. It was the perfect track day, low 50s in the morning and 60s throughout the afternoon.

had a blast and can't wait to do it again! I smoked my brakes on my first run, tried to get pics of smoke coming off but no luck. Will try and figure this pic thing out and post some.

Not the best POV, but here's the battle with a very quick and well set-up Miata. I'll have better views from outside the car, but there's a lot of wind noise on those.
