I think the issue is that every detail of the car has been discussed and rediscussed to death. All of the preorders and orders are in and those discussions are done.

We're just in this void where there's really nothing new to talk about until the cars start showing up in driveways.

Once that happens we'll have delivery discussions and new real world use discussions, plus tons of new pictures.

I've been checking the site daily looking for the first delivery threads. I'm sure they'll be appearing very soon.

See-- the problem is that any time a new vehicle is introduced -- there are issues that must be worked thru with suppliers ......and there are issues with electronics -- and there are things we look at that just don't seem 'right' -- and this goes for ANY manufacturer ---

........and so these cars are being looked at VERY closely - and we're taking our time to ensure that they are the best they can possibly be.

It makes it worse in that you have sites like this that give you updates by the hour! No car or truck has ever had this much 'ballyhoo' -- ever! -- even before the car hits the streets!...

One person (can't remember if it was this site or not) -- said "....well SHIP THEM ANYWAY -- at least I can drive it until it has to go to the dealer..."

God love him -- but that is EXACTLY the wrong thing to do ........


So -- I beg you -- please -- have patience.

If I can go thru what I've gone thru -- and the men and women on the Camaro team can go thru what they've gone thru -- and THOSE OF YOU -- who have remained faithful since August of 2002 can wait this long - another week or two is small change........


TRULY -- we want to get these Camaros in your Garages.........

I like this thread, the "chill, sitback, and grab a beer knowing the wait is almost over" ... Things get way too intense here sometimes, and there is a lot of passion... but we will get to enjoy this beautiful machine soon enough....

GM has a number of products coming into production...and every single product launched needs to be absolutely flawless.

Honestly, I would think that the Chevrolet Volt will be a bigger game-changer and could seriously destroy all the other car companies than GM could with the Camaro, but I digress....That would be a much more entertaining story to follow, at least for me anyway.
