Thanks guys! Due to a forum bug, my posting was limited for a bit.

I understand that there are people that don't want the kit, and that's expected. Core exchanges will come later.

Note, though, as Toasty said, it's a pretty simple mod. Cutting open the housing is the hardest part, and that just takes the right Dremel bit and a steady hand to make it easier. When mounting the module, it just needs to be close to center, and there are features to align it to...

I've tried to remember to pull the new pictures together into the first post. If there are any others that you want to see, or questions, just post up. I'd also like to do a Q&A session via IRC (chat).

I'm not sure if this has been asked, but since I have a non-RS Camaro, my taillights are of a lighter shade. However, I thought the taillights on an RS were completely tinted, meaning the outer red plastic portion AND the inner half moon were tinted. However, in this thread, it was said that just the inner was tinted on the RS taillights. Which one is it? This would pose a problem if both were tinted because I would now have non RS taillights that are reallyyyy red, and to match that of RS Camaro's, I would have to tint the outside and paint the inside half moon of taillight to match an RS taillight. With your kit, will it matter if I have an RS or non RS taillight to do the conversion, or will it look the same regardless of what I have?

There is no tinting on stock tails. The difference is that the RS lip is black while the non-RS is chrome The lip is shown in green here...

Interesting, as I always knew the lip inside the taillight was black, but I thought the RS also had tinted lenses as well. Maybe the non RS chrome inner lip simply reflects the red light so greatly that the lens on a non RS looks way to bright of red color.

Yep, that's how it works!

Thanks . That's something new that I just learned, LOL. At least I know it's an easy change if I got this kit. The inner lip is no big deal at all. I'll simply paint the lower lip gloss black.

I would enjoy having an entire taillight already made though. Also, since I have a non RS, a core charge usually doesn't work well because the companies that want the core back want only the RS taillights and not non RS.

We will be okay with that. We may just have to deduct a bit from the core refund to black-out the lip.

Okay, thanks man. That'll work. I'm looking forward to getting these. I want to see how they'll look in real life on the car.
