afterburners aren't exactly like the concepts but its good and a few minor changes you can really make this car shine...

i hope the v8 impresses and that i can have a choice between the front bumpers

like the rs package gives you the v6 bumper but with the ss engine
These pictures show the car meets what I think are reasonable expectations regarding the concept look. There are some differences, but to me these differences are justified or not ones that spoil it FOR ME. I al really pleased with what I see here and I'm delighted with the interior which I feared would be either too "retro" or too "modern". I really think they did a good job on this example.

I also want to add that I'm disappointed that the car mags and people had to "leak" this stuff a couple days early. I feel bad for the folks at GM who have their work and their reveal ruined by some jerk. Sure, we like to look at all these photos but we're all guessing and speculating and I just feel like this would have gone better if it played out as planned and not wrecked by leaks.

Good Heavens. I just read the Car and Driver article. 3750 pounds for the V6 ,and 3900 for the V8? My worst fears realized. That should produce great fuel economy. My moms 10 year old Olds doesn't weigh that much. 1981 weight!!
My huge 1980 LeSabre yacht weighs a measly 3500 pounds.

The Camaro will handle and accelerate well anyway...and will ride great.

Agree on the headlights and the tail that became to long to me.

I truly wonder why they changed the headlights. Technical or legal requirements? Were the old ones too little for the law?

I'd like the supercharged model to go back to the concept lights.

Well, it will be official on monday, it means chevy as one more day to change the lights!

Do you guys think there is any chance that maybe aftermarket will come out with light-up badges? That would be sweet to see at night. Imagine seeing your halos on along with a lighted Z-28, SS, or RS badge.

I've been reading and posting on this site for a while now and I'm really surprised to see so much negativity. Granted, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some of you people are just flat out nasty. If you don't like it, ok, go to Ford.com and move on...I for one don't want your negativity here. The car looks great! Everyone wanted the halo's, we got 'em...yea the bumper changed, but you can thank your US government for that...There are few cars that stay this true to their original concept form. I'm sure it would have been easier for GM to change everything inside and out and make it look almost nothing like the concept, but because of sites like this and all the auto shows and all of our reactions and passions to the concept they worked their a$$es off trying to please everyone. I think they did a great job and I can't wait for the ride and drive event! Then when I buy mine and I'm driving down the road and I pull up to one of you who are knocking the vehicle, I'll be sure to blow the doors off your car when the light turns...

Wow I love this ride!!!!! So hold up a second, the RS is going to be the V6 option? With 6 gears??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Wow is all I have to say!!!! Just awsome!!!! Only one thing though. Doesn't seem like we will be able to do much customizing to the car audio system. But man look at those deal lights andtail lights!!!!

Yes, but you can also get it for a V8 Camaro.

"love or leave" ...

Come on, if you love everything, I am really happy for you.

But things never evolve the right way with only blind lovers saying "yes" to everything.

I will probably buy the supercharged camaro and aftermark it, but if any for some reason I don't because for some reason I hate the car, then I couldn't care less of you having a car I hate ... blowing my doors or not

I'm begging for discussions, and not asking unhappy people to leave, nor comparing you lovers to britney spears fans.

None of them will be ugly, in my opinion.

You make your first post and call the people who brought us this car F*#@*#! Are you even old enough to drive? There have been alot of disappointed people on this forum with one thing or another, but, I dont recall anyone using that level of disrespect. I cant imagine anyone here caring to hear your outburst if that is what you have to say.

Unless he was one of the "12 disciples of which there were 15" as Scott likes to say, he did NOT drive the car. No dealer has as of yet. Only GM brass and the disciples have been behind the wheel of ANY IVER.

So, having said that, I wouldn't buy what your dealer says about anything.
