Hey everyone, I picked up some Dynatech headers with high flow cats from Thunder Racing today. They had them in stock for a great price. I will install them tomorrow and post some pics and vidoes. I highly recommened checking with the guys at Thunder Racing before purchasing any parts for your car.

HEY GUYS AND GALS, (sorry)
![]() Ran a 12.12 at NP on 11-4. Still working on 60 ' only had a 1.98. New OZ Racing rims helped. 12 and 14 lbs. lighter than stock and an inch wider. I can run those 305's now. Installed a VMaxmotorsports ported intake and throttle body ($150 & $300) and a lingerfelter two step rev limiter this weekend. Used a reverse pressure switch and hooked the primary launch limiter to the top of the clutch arm for better no lift shifts. I am also going to try launching on the primary limiter around 4000 rpm and not release the last 1/4 inch to turn the limiter off until they stop spinning on the limiter. I also installed a spring loaded Ripshifter at Thunderracing. The difference is like night and day. No lifts will stop all the wheel spin I have been getting in second gear and shifts are now super fast with the Ripshifter. Hitting the dyno Wednesday, I'll post the new run. Hit 455.42hp on the last dyno run. The Halltech intake was worth over 34hp. I do believe the stock air box was starving the cam. I wish I had the Halltech before I put the cam in I could have moved up on the bolt on quarter mile list, especially with good cold air temps. I think the cold air tube I ran to the bottom grill from the stock air box helped but what a difference the Halltech made. Going to Chicago this weekend but I will definitely be at SCR Sunday next. May also try to go Friday next. Last edited by nuptualnemesis; 11-11-2009 at 04:46 PM. |

![]() I agree, just thinking about that. We need to gather the troops and have an event very soon! We talked about a photo shoot at a plantation, so let's get something going and then maybe stop and have a bite to eat someplace! Your thoughts?

Now it makes sense!!! Beautiful car, and my daughter just got hers, black 2SS/RS, manual, inferno red interior, polished 20's! She loves it, but her husband will be doing some mods I'm sure!

That was Allen Futral's 427 Camaro at SCR last weekend running 11.40's of Futral Motorsports in Walker. I think it is maroon not black.
Just came from the dyno at Engine Power Systems. The Vmax Motorsports ported TB and Intake was worth 15.86 hp and 12.79 lb. ft. on my car. Dyno pic below. Don't know about stock increase but Vengence Racing has a thread that showed 10 hp for ported intake and 11hp for Fast Intake. Pete at Vmax does their porting for them. Cheaper and faster to go through Pete's Vmax site. I did not dyno them separately. Pete said ported TB probably not much of horsepower increase but a big increase in throttle response and he was right. |
