You guys did great there yesterday. I wish I could've gotten a clean pass. If it wasn't the return of the second gear issue with a wot box not working or my rear suspension unloading on the shift. Although it was trapping in the high 130s lol.

I have UMI lower control arms and relocation brackets which I suspect are helping with my short times, but that I have worse tires than came from the factory (stock are GY F1GS; 300 tread) perhaps negates the suspension help. I've also lowered it and added Bilsteins all around, so it's stiffer than factory which doesn't help the weight transfer. Also have subframe connectors + strut brace = added weight.

It's definitely running better than most I've ever experienced mod-for-mod since I started following and racing LS1 cars in early 2000's. There were only a handful of LS1 cars at the track yesterday, and while they were running quicker than I was (still in the 12's and trapping mid-low 1-teens), they had full bolt-ons, good rubber, and one had heads/cam/FAST intake.

Lastly, I drive it like I stole it.

Perhaps it's just that it has such a distinct sound. It is still quite noticeable when you're WOT towards the traps which is why I refer to it being the loudest car there.

Sort of like in Dumb & Dumber when Lloyd makes the "most annoying sound in the world." It's just there.

I think its time to gut the suspension and get it totally revised for november lol.

I decided not to store the car today. Instead, I drove it 60 miles. Went to a cruise, went to see Argo (great movie), and had a good time with it.

Does anyone [that was at the track] know what the ZOMG!!!!1!11! GTR ran?

Also, for Brendan's gratification, there was an ISF there. Low 13's/high 12's around 110, IIRC. Perhaps someone can confirm.
