They are so close in price, I'd rather get the better performing tires. Do you have an opinion on how these new Blizzaks stack up against the tried and true Scorpions? the description says they were custom made for the Aston Martin Rapide, so they can't be too bad
Blizzak LM-32 less snow performance but better handling when the roads are dry. It really comes down to how much snow you get. If you see lighter amounts of snow the LM-32 would be fine.

I live in oklahoma city, oklahoma. Our winters arent harsh and I dont plane on driving my camaro in snow unless it starts while I am at work. I would like to have a good set of winter tires so I can drive my 2013 1le in cold and wet weather. What is ur suggestion on tires? I have already boyght a set of ss wheels just needing the tires and the tpms sensors. Would like to know a good brand and also size. I woukd also like to use one of these tires as a spare in the summer time when on vacation. Thank u!!

You could run Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow in stock SS sizes. These work great in cold/snow and wet/slush or ice. Please give me a call if I can help with an order my signature has the phone #. As alway when ordering online don't forget to reference "Camaro5".

I have the Pirelli Scorpions in stock 245/275 sizes mounted on my old stock rims. They cut through snow great, wouldn't be able to do this on stock summer tires:

I bought some Pirrelli Ice and Snow's from Tire Rack and had them mounted on some 20" take off rims I found locally, and have had lots of opportunity to test them out this winter already as we've had a ton of snow and some freezing rain as well. These tires are awesome. I ended up going for the same staggered sizes as the stock Pirrelli's and find they're just fine. I don't know how much better they'd be if I'd gone for the narrower rear's (same as the front) but I have to say, I'm totally satisfied with these. And I'm also very happy with how the Camaro itself handles in the snow and ice. I read soooo many posts by naysayers telling how this car is terrible in the winter, but they clearly don't know what they're talking about.

Thanks for the review and your order! I am glad you are satisfied with the Pirelli's. They have a very good reputation on these cars.

Scorpion's

Awesome to hear. I just bought a Camaro SS RS as our only car (we live downtown Chicago). My wife gets to drive it more than I do, during the week back and forth to work. Based on some YouTube videos I watched, I convinced her it was good enough in the snow. But, man, do those PZero's suck in the cold/snow, haha! Ordering some Scorpion's shortly! Glad to hear they do well. Thanks!

Thumbs up

Bought my first Camaro on 11/30/2013 and on 12/4 we get over 8" of snow. So needless to say it was parked for a few days. Placed an order for the 17" package that Tire Rack recommend with 235/65QR17 Blizzak. Photo shows before with the P-Zero's still on and after with the Blizzak's and they have been great.

Here's my 2014 SS/RS with some wheels and tires bought off a fellow member a few days ago. Now I can drive this car in this weather! Factory SS wheels from a 2011 (I think) with Perelli Snow and Ice 245/20's.

I meant to post this a little while back, but I got sidetracked. I ordered a set of Pirelli Scorpion Winters about a month ago. I originally ordered a 275/45ZR20 for the rear(about an inch taller). Almost immediately, Rudy called me and we had a 10-15 minute discussion about having a taller tire on the rear and how it can affect the Stabilitrak system. After the discussion, I decided to go with his recommendation of the 245/45ZR20's all the way around. He changed the order right there while we were on the phone. He was great to talk to and work with, and I couldn't be happier with how my Camaro has held up in the Midwest winter especially these last few days when the "polar vortex" swept the area. Thanks again, Rudy!
