Here's the best run (the first):
11.109 @ 128.84, 1.743 sixty. Once again, the tranny went downhill after the first run. I tried a bunch of things over 10 runs, but did not improve. It seems to be in the tune, and may be related to the fact that I cannot go wide-open-throttle till well into 2nd gear. I'm going to mull it over and do some more research. ![]() Padre |

Holy crap your car sounds mean! Sounds like you're having a hard time keeping the wheels from spinning in 1st. Even in second it's like your pumping the throttle to get hook-up. Crazy! Love it though. My car now sounds incredible but not quite the hp without the Procharger. Still diggin it though.

Here's another run that demostrates the bucking problem a little better:
Any ideas? I'm developing some theories. Padre |

Have you tried to set it back to the stock setting and try it in the race mode with TC turned off?

Padre,
On the bucking this is exactly what I experienced. See my mod list, but long story short, still stock internal, no stall, added the blower and the car ran 10.99@125 but the 1-2 shift it kind of held the shift for a nanosecond like it wasnt going to shift nosing over ever so slightly then it shifted. Fast forward to 3:70 gears and next trip to track, got the bucking like you did on the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 nosed over badly before the shift, the rest of the gears shifted normally. I`m not a tuner but my theory is this, with all the power I am making now the engine spins up through the gears much faster and the computer still takes the same amount of time to tell the transmission to shift causing itto get all over the rev limiter. This happened w/ the blower and was exascerbated w/ the gears, 1rst spins up hella fast now, in fact I believe it shifts right before the 60. My buddy who tunes on the side fiddled w/ it and set the commnaded shift point much lower on the 1-2 and I mean way lower, I forget exactly, and 2-3 shift slightly lower. We were able to get the 2-3 on the street to shift right at 6200 since I`m stock internal. At the track we got the 1-2 to work but it does seem to hold it for that nonosecond, no bucking just not bam quick crisp shift. I went 10.84@126.72. This is why I have not added a converter, till I know how to fix it. I beleive Jannetty has a fix. I beleive it has something to do w/ the TM, something about you have to add some of that in and make some other adjustments to it, but I`m not sure. Good luck and if you figure it out please help the rest of us!

No problem. I still had the problem under WOT till we moved the commanded shift way earlier on the 1-2 and a little earlier on the 2-3. Example would be we commanded it I think at 5800 for the 2-3 and it actually occured at 6200, I forget the mph we used.

Gotcha, I haven`t really done much w/ it myself, my buddy was the one tuning it, I beleive he said he did something w/ the mph and the rpm from what I recall. Its been a while and my memory is not the best...lol.. Whatever he did it actually shifts now. I probably should put you guys together and see what you can noodle out.

Hat-tip to Ted Jannetty: in another thread he mentioned about fuel pressure weakening with less fuel (less weight of fuel behind the pick up point).
A light bulb went off: I had been running <1/4 tank (habit, and never a problem with the stock fuel pump and bucket). The new fuel pump does not have a bucket at the pick-up point in the fuel tank like the stock pump. Ergo, fuel sloshes around, and it gets worse with each pass (less fuel). Needless to say, I'm running a full tank of gas this Sunday. ![]() But I am hitting the track! And the roll cage is going in on Monday for the Atlanta Camaro5 race at Commerce next Friday! ![]() Padre |

Padre - Glad you found what might be the possible cause. I'm expecting low 10s and you getting thrown out of the track for not having a cage.
