If you look a the serious track heads here who track often, none of them leave the 1LE stock. I bet once the parallel Mustangers get a hold of the PP GT (funny when you say that) they will do the same and run right with the 1LEs. It will be a drivers race. The new GT no longer has the weak kneed brakes and may not suffer from heat soak as much as the LS3. Not sure about that one. The 1LE will still have the advantage of a stiffer chassis so it does not mind using the curbs. The GT is still a few pounds lighter and it will be cool to see how a little tuning and maybe the Boss intake will wake up the new V3 5.0. It can outrev the LS3. And the 15 GT is supposed to have the transmission and shifting problems solved out of the box.
So the 1LE wins the stock track trophy and also has captured the Internet racing win. The '15 GT is a big improvement and if you were buying a pony/muscle car today you would be doing yourself a disservice not to consider both cars. But you would be doing yourself a greater disservice if you didn't wait to see how the CA6 2016 Camaro turns out, then compare.

On the other side of the river the debate still rages on. Comments of just add this to the PP and blah blah are just an excuse. Can't win them all. Pick your poison and know every car has its ups and downs.
With that being said it's the driver that counts the most. I still beat drivers of 5.0s on the track but I know with a better person behind the wheel they may come out ahead.

It's not an excuse to feel that Ford sacrificed some handling performance in the name of appearance . . . in an option they call a "Performance Package". Should have put up a better fight against the 1LE than it did.
