That would be so messed up
. Can teams not talk to the players before picking up off waivers?

Well at least he didn't wait until half time
![]() In case you forgot Vontae Davis did that at 29 yrs old 5 years later he was dead https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...geles-chargers https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...lic-rcna145904 In fairness to Vontae he got burned on a deep go route for a TD he just didn't have the speed anymore. It was also hot as hades that day and I was just sitting in the stands I could imagine how hot it was on the field. Week one was a monsoon in Baltimore and an epic blow out JA17 was supposed to redshirt half the year intead it was half of game one ![]() RIP Vontae

I think most teams knew he wanted to go back to Philly. Slays wife was on social media saying she was looking forward to it. Beane has been kind of crotchety all season snapping at reporters ![]() I guess he figured he should piss Philly off too Send us a 2026 7th and a 2027 6th Farmer and Beane will parole him.

The Houston Texans claimed Jamarcus Ingram the player that the Bills released to fit Slay on the 53.
Now Beane is going to be real salty Put Slay on the DNR list and Philly can have him in March. Then pour over every teams PS and claim a corner.

Shawn Merriman tweeted Slay and said you should come to Buffalo.
SM said he was hesitant at first and he says it was the best decision he ever made. I met him once tailgating after he retired...pretty cool there was 4 or 5 ex players just hanging out with the fans having a good time.

Beane decided to play hardball and put Slay on the DNR list meaning he won't be joining the Eagles.
That freed up a spot on the 53 man and Beane then claimed Safety Darnell Savage who the Commanders had waived. I wonder if the Philly fans will buy billboards in Buffalo "Free Slay" LMAO

Plus he(Beane) is trying to claw back the 8m bonus(or a portion of it) the Steelers paid him.
This could cost Slay 2-3m and show future waiverees that they will be held accountable. I would assume the money would go to a Pittsburgh charity as the Rooney's paid it. The Bills are only on the hook for 350k and they don't need to pay it as Slay did not report for work.

Thankfully Howie Long isn't our coach
![]() What a tool the JA17 hate was on full display when he opens the post game show with JA17 really didn't too much. 22/28 for 251 yds 3TDs another 78 yds rushing with a 40 yd TD run in there 9.0 yd average on completions The real QB Joe Mule 25/36 4TD's and 2 ints one was a pick six 7.9 yds avg comp So lets see the QB who lead his team to the win has a higher comp percentage higher average per completion and of course a higher QB rating by over 30 points but he didn't pass Howies eye test. At least Gronk understands greatness and was wowed by JA17 again

I had a few people say that.
I think this might have moved the Ravens vs Bills out of the #1 spot for game of the year. That game withstood 14 weeks to stay #1 but I think it just fell to this one ![]() https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-game-of...025-nfl-season

Speaking of total suckitude how about those Chiefs?
I guess the sell your soul period of greatness is over for Mahomee ![]() 3 picks and 2 failed 4th down attempts with the game on the line ![]() Travis got laid out on one pick and didn't look too happy about it and the criminal who wears #4 got laid out on another poor throw.

Just when you think the suckitude in primetime couldn't get any worse Hurts decides to out suck Mahomee.
That was tough call but he did manage to do it ![]() 4 ints one in OT on a 1st and 10 from LA's 20 yard line...run the ball you DMF's you got SB back there. Just to make sure he won the LVPOWA(least valuable player of the week award) he managed to turn the ball over twice on the same play ![]() Yup twice...first he throws an Int then the defender fumbles on the run back and the ball rolls into Hurt's arms he then tries to turn up field to run instead of falling on the ball for a fresh series of downs. Man you can't make this stuff up he is awful... staring down receivers off target throws. He might be the worst QB to ever win the SB MVP Notice how I said SB MVP because Trent Dilfer still holds the title as worst QB to ever win the SB (Ray Lewis was MVP)

I think a trade up in the draft for a QB might be in order.
Maybe Howie can suck some team into taking Hurts off his hands
