Active duty are free for the DM-50 Car Show 31 March. Don't think it's the same for the Air Show/Car Show.

I have 15 Camaro's signed up, and 8 forms back so far. I will let everyone know on the $20.00 entry fee, and when it will be collected.

OMG, now that should keep the rear end down on the race track, guess we'll see you at the next Test and Tune!

P.S. The Specialists can install a backup camera.

Troy,
do you know if they can ship to where we can get them mounted?
I don't see why not. Ask them, I'm sure they will send them anywhere you ask.

FYI for the DM Car Show:
From Bill with the Corvette Club:

I checked with my contact Msgt Pardo who advised me that the social security requirement is only for those who do not have a military ID. Those who do have a military ID, that will suffice. I hope this clears that up. As for members without military ID, No s/s number ,equals no entry to the show.....I hope this clears up the military ID question, and the social security question.

You still need to fill out the form if your millitary, just not the SS#

I stopped by the "HotRods Old Vail" yesterday. The location is at:
10500 Old Vail Rd.
Tucson, AZ85747
www.hotrodsoldvail.com
Here is a map link, it's about a mile off I-10 going east, you can't miss it.
http://g.co/maps/dxmkb

I met with Ivan Smith, V.P of Operations. I have to tell you, this place is nothing like what any of us has seen before. First off, it is owned by one person who lives in Tucson. It has a merchandise area when you first walk in, kinda like Orange county Coppers, you know t-shirts and stuff. There will be a Nascar parked in this area, "Kyle Bush", I know I don't want to hear it. Then you walk into the restaurant/bar, one side is for dinning, and the other is the bar. The bar can be closed off, so the dinners do not have to hear the shouting UofA or Nascar fans. They will even have a brunch on Sundays. There will be free WiFi for all the nerds and ipad users . There is a upstairs bar as well as a patio, two elevators to accommodate anyone. Now for the cool part, from the Dining area, you can look into the shop area, where you can watch mechanics and fabricators built custom rods, and cars. They will have a "clean" room for engine and transmission building, that means zero air, no dust or dirt and you can see that area too. They will have a CNC machine too, like what you see on OCC, they can make there own customized parts. There will be a smaller shop area around the back for normal service needs like oil changes, brakes, ect. There will be a paint booth also. And get ready for this, they will have a Dyno!!! they can setup club nights where we would be the only ones using it, there will be a charge, not sure how much. All of this will be on big screen tv's through out the building which is HUG. They are putting a big Fram type Air Filter on top of their building, it will kinda look like a big engine. There is another building going to be built for storage, and parts. They have well over 350 parking spots, and will have live music and even concerts planned. If this concept takes off they will build a second in Avondale, AZ, you know by PIR. Check out their website (still being worked on). I was simply blown away, and I see plenty of wild concepts that I know will fail, I think they may have a winner. The single owner of this place, must be ultra wealthy, and a gearhead because what I saw was just over the top. They are taking applications at this time for everything, and plane on opening in early June. There is a big car-show even planned at the Casino Del Sol, right around Cinco De Mayo that they are doing something at their location too. If all of this is not enough they plan on a hotel down the road too, that way are town of town brothers/sisters can hang out too . They have been building this for almost two years now, I can not wait to see how it turns out. I know I forgot somethings too.

That HotRod place sounds really neat. This area could really use a gig where there's enough parking.

I know the bike nights at Montgomery's in Vail had the biggest and best by far for a few years until new owners quashed them. Now we're back to a million little bike nights here and there but none that really grab you, although Lindy's is pretty cool.

This place is far away from me (and FlynnAZ) but I certainly would love to drive to a place like the one described above. Hell, I'd love to watch the NASCAR races there! Just went to to PIR a few weeks ago for the race.

Nothing like a bunch of car enthusiasts and gear heads getting together but man, a few hundred every weekend would be sweet. Thanks for the update on this.

I found wiper blade refills on Amazon too. Amazon says the 24" will not fit, but they are wrong, I confirmed this on tirerack.com. I wanted the refills because I do not like how the replacement brackets look, I like the stock look. I also found great prices on Cabin filters too.

$8.49 PIAA 94060 Silicone Wiper Blade Refill, 24" (Pack of 1)

$16.30 for TYC 800156P Replacement Cabin Air Filter for Chevrolet Camaro
