Wheels
Exhaust
Springs (adjustable coil overs??? like on the callaway)
LED side markers and driving lights.

It will also be getting the deck painted black. Needing to get quotes. I'm going to start a new Member Car Journal to keep track of progress.

Yep its official I hate you .....That is going too look sick and cant wait to see it at one of the meets

I don't know how I'll be able to live with the blemishes that happen. I've got some learning to do!
Yes...it will be really hard when anything happens. You'll get used to parking far away from doors and driving really defensively! On the other hand, what a great daily driver.

I guess it depends on how far and how much $$$ you are wanting to go. With all of the improvements that the ZL1 has, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than $70k out the door. I bought the callaway so that I would have what I wanted right away, but it has really taken the fun away of building it myself. Now I see how much fun it is for everyone, and is a huge reason that I am starting from scratch.

If you can wait and want the ZL1 name wait.
But I think you could build yours to be just as
good if not better. You will have more fun seeing
it all come together and probably have 15-20
grand left over for rubber, gas and tickets.

I think I'm with ken53007 on this one! I have modded my far share of cars in my driving life! And wouldn't mind getting the ZL1 at all! I was going to get a SS but got a LT because I wanted to do a LS9/TR6060 swap and paying for a SS didn't make sense! I already spent like $6000 on the car and plan on stopping there till I see pricing on the ZL1. After all the ZL1 is like what I was going for anyway with the LS9 engine! Plus my dealer was going to modify my warranty the with the LS9/TR6060 in my LT only if they did the work since it's a new engine (never used) and it's a Chevy engine! Gotta love the Hendricks Group lol!

I agree. I figure the ZL1 gonna be at least 50 grand if not a little more! But if you want the badge go for it. If I had the ability to afford one I probably would just so I could have a warranty for that much power! That's the only positive here! IMO!

I for one appreciate the challanges of starting a club...it's like hearding cats I started the Atlanta Camaro/Firebird Assoc 13 years ago and it takes lots of work to get it going and keep it going.

If you don't have somthing already and you want to be a part of a club you are invited to attend one of our meetings or events. No one will pressure to join, we only want you to have fun with like minded folks.

We have lots of events (see thread link below), like to drive our cars and give back to the hobby (All American Camaro Show) and the community (our charity is the USO).

Hi John - Thanks for posting. I will be coming tomorrow to meet your club, although I know you all are having a business meeting. Alot of us live on the North side of the city and obviously have the new gen Camaros, but sometimes there's strength and power in numbers. I also love the fact that your charity is the USO, as my son is active duty Army and I have a big place in my heart for the military. Looks like you have some exciting plans for your meets. We have talked about starting our own club, but I'd love to see what you all are doing.

Sounds good, I look forward to seeing you at our meeting and excited to see you and your car! As for Veterans, it's truly our soft spot. We have given appox $10,000 to the USO over the years. Our club is populated with many Veterans. At each of our shows we recognize the Vets past and present and start with the National Anthem....that who we are.....oh, did I mention we like Camaro's too LOL
