Anyway, You guys crack me up !!! Thanks for keeping it fun today. Cool phone conversation R ! I called the dispatch number at 8:55 (they open at 9:00). Left a message. Got a call back while I was leaving the message. They said the driver will be calling me around noon to arrange for drop off. Now here is the latest story - "they weren't there this weekend because of the heavy rain which shorted out the headlights on the truck so they couldn't continue". Uh huh. Yeah sounds really plausible on a relatively NEW truck... Just have the balls to tell me that you waited to get an extra car or two on the trailer to maximize your revenue - I can understand that. You don't want me to know since I paid a premium to have it delivered sooner. So, I sit here waiting for the driver to call. Hope it happens in the next hour since I do not have his number. ..And here are the Top 10 Reasons why the truck was delayed...  (Remember this is a fairly new truck)On the trip to pick up the SST: 1) The clutch fan seized up and took out the radiator. 2) The truck had a flat. On the trip to back (so far): 3) The truck had another flat. 4) We needed to pick up another car in Phoenix. 5) It was raining hard and we lost our lights. After those I was completely ready for these: 6) ??? My pet Iguana co-driver has hemorrhoids and we had to stop in Texas to have the Camaro 5 crew fix it before he was cleared to drive again. 7) ??? The truck's front spring broke so we stopped and had a Pedders ZL1 suspension installed on it. It now tracks straight but has trouble pulling 1.0 G turns. 8) ??? We raced a FedEx truck and lost our pink slip. Rich Christensen did the arm drop. 9) ??? Our truck, Christine, is possessed and drove around the truck stop in circles for 2 hours until it got dark. 10) ??? We gave our truck Pepto Bismol for having bad gas, only to find it was really diesel fuel. |
