I still say 4l80 if you are going to beat the sh!!!t out of it. Some cry about the long first gear in the 4l80 but I picked up over .3th over the 6l80

You have a lot more then I have and I blow the 6l80 in less then 2,000 miles, and 25 runs, at the track. But I run the piss out of it. I have better times, then a lot of them with more H/P

True... How often are you planning on taking it to the track? I never got the impression you were planning on doing that many track days...

DO NOT go with a 4l60! Go with the 4l80 that will NEVER give you problems why spend the same amount of money for a weaker tranny! The car is too heavy for that tranny I blew third 4 times making alittile under 700rwhp and had the tranny rebuilt twice! biggest mistake i ever made was getting that tranny!

d, you can always take my 17inch slicks and try them out...i,m pretty sure you could stick them ...also the slicks are easy on the drivetrain launch..

not on a stick , at that hp...i could not launch mine very good or run to the rev limiter and stick the tires...also the slicks will spring and hold some torque in the launch..helping soften the load on the clutch dump...i think that with our style of supercharger it also makes it much more difficult as we go into boost very fast unlike a turbo or a front mount sc...imo...i still have my drr,s on the bogarts, you can try them...they did not do as well as i had hoped at pbir, never did get to try out the new slicks..b3fore you commit , you can always make some runs on the dr,s and then try the slicks before you commit to a full change out of tranny

Yeah D if you like your 6M do a set of wheel & tires, for the track only. On the back maybe $2000.00 are less. With the 4l80e its, about $6,500.00 with the 4l60 or the 6l80 your looking at $9,000.00 plus to beef them up with the install and they will be maybe it hold or not. And you will still need tires, the 22" will not get it.
