Fer sho! 'Camaro Summer' is right around the corner, and I can't wait!

And, yeah, staring at these sweet new parts all night cannot be healthy.

Oh! I almost forgot to mention: I installed SLP's 'Skip-Shift Eliminator'. It works perfectly! Not only does it keep the tranny from locking out 2nd and 3rd, it even keeps the computer from displaying that stupid message.

That, and I had a local shop install 3M's clear paint protection film. It's like a bra that protects against rock chips, etc., but you can't even see it. If you get up real close it kind of looks like a hair got stretched across the hood where it ends, but that's it. Makes me feel a lot better about hitting the interstate in a few days. We got thunderstorms comin' all weekend, so I'll wait 'til next week.

Those paint chips drive me nuts - my other car's nose is covered in them. So far I'm really happy with the 3M product, but it's early days!

I'm bettin' you might've misunderstood my last post. I'm heading out on my first interstate road trip in my new Camaro, so I'm gonna wait for the storms to pass and enjoy some sunshine. Driving through the rain's a non-issue in this great car.

Well, outta the corner of my eye I noticed that the Skip-Shift message does pop up afterall. Even with the Eliminator installed. I hadn't noticed before. But, the important thing is that my gears don't get locked out anymore.

Nice! I didn't bookmark it, but I know there's a good thread on Camaro5 about the 3M paint protection. People's results here at Camaro5 is one of the things that convinced me to go for it.

Have fun at the 'Fest! If ya take any good photos or video make sure to post 'em!

Thumbs up

Right ON!

I just got back from my Milwaukee/Chicago road trip. What a blast! This little demon is just perfect for chewing up Interstate miles and spittin' 'em out the back.

Everywhere I stopped people asked me about and commented on the Camaro. She was the belle of the ball everywhere I went. In Milwaukee a little cutie in a red drop-top Mustang pulled up and parked next to me just to check it out.

And I've never had so much fun getting lost in a car. I wound up in some strange Chicago suburb when I took a wrong turn on Wednesday. I just tooled around and around until I figured out where I was, and had a blast doing it. The way this thing absolutely hammers out of corners and down the road has gotta be the most fun I ever had.

I spent eleven hours in that beauty today, and I still can't stop yammering about it! Best money I ever spent, hands down.

I'm lookin' forward to those videos!

Sweet! But, nope, I didn't have time to get my mods installed before I left. It's gonna take a good two weeks to do, and my Gramma's been waitin. Stock as a rock this thing gives me goosebumps!

Plus, check this out: Since I'm gonna have the rear spindles and brake assemblies swung out to install my new trailing arms anyway, I'm gonna go ahead and install some new beefy axles. I haven't decided yet whether to go with 600hp-rated Driveshaft Shop half-shafts or G-Force's monster 750hp-rated sluggers. Either way the shipping's gonna take some time, so I gotta wait a little bit.

Since I'm skipping any kind of boost, I'll probably stay under 600hp, but it's gonna be close if I replace the heads, cam, and throttle-body over the next year or two. G-Force is looking pretty good.

I can't wait to see your videos man! And who all autographed your ride? Looks sweet!
