The Chevrolet team and the Ontario Camaro Club are thrilled to see the incredible response (already!) surrounding our Camaro Homecoming Plant Tour and the 23rd annual Ontario Camaro Nationals on June 10-12, 2011.

Amidst that excitement, there has been a lot of speculation and misinformation that is beginning to create confusion, so we’d like to quickly clarify a few things to help you with your planning.

The Camaro Homecoming Plant Tour will be for 3,000 lucky participants and is being held in full partnership with the Ontario Camaro Club (OCC), which was kind enough to move its annual Ontario Camaro Nationals event from St. Catharines to Oshawa to accommodate our plant tour event (something we’ve been talking about doing with them for several years).

The Homecoming Plant Tour and OCC Nationals are the only official events planned for that weekend. As with any club meet, members of ALL Camaro and Firebird clubs and enthusiasts are welcome to register and participate in the OCC Nationals event. The same holds true for the Homecoming Plant Tour. To make participation as convenient as possible, you will be able to register for the Homecoming Plant Tour and the OCC Nationals event on the Ontario Camaro Club website: (www.ontariocamaroclub.com). The OCC website is the ONLY place that you can officially register for these events and will also be your best source to learn more about what is being planned.

The Plant Tour will occur on Friday, June 10, 2011 and will be open to owners (past and present) of Camaros and Firebirds. Tour spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis upon registration. To support the OCC in their fundraising efforts, those who secure a spot on the tour will be asked to contribute $10 (CDN) which will be donated to the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario. Your $10 dollar contribution secures a spot for you and up to three guests (over the age of 12) on the tour.

For those bringing their Camaro or Firebird, registration with the OCC Nationals is required to secure parking in the official event area. We want to set some Guinness World Records, so please bring your cars, if you can – the more, the better! The cost to register your car is $35 (CDN) and no additional contribution is required if you secure a spot on the tour.

Registration on the OCC website will open in the next couple of weeks and the Chevrolet team will be sure to send out an official notice to let you know when it begins. We will then notify those who secure a spot on the Plant Tour in early April.

We hope that clarifies what we have planned and we look forward to seeing you for the Camaro Homecoming in Oshawa!

Important plant restrictions. No high heels or open toed shoes. No one under the age of twelve permitted. There will be access for wheel chairs and cameras will be allowed. ( From the OCC Site)

FRom OCC website:.

The second way is for folks who are planning to come to Oshawa without their Camaro or Firebird, but would like to go on the Plant Tour. They will be asked to register with the OCC Nationals and pay $10.00, once they receive confirmation that they have secured spots on the tour.

Conclusion:So it's be ready for the notice on OCC website only and then register on line !
$35 if you have a camaro and $10 if you don't ..................................and in both cases you get 4 passes.
Is this correct?

Crap, you mean NO Stilettos? And no one under 12, so Eric and Dave can't come? I'll miss my Texans!

I guess I am a little out of the loop...the OCC nats are separate from the C5 Meet and greet? Yeah or neah?
And its $35 to register for the OCC nats but not required for the tour? Yeah or neah?
But to go on the tour you need to be selected first come first serve through the OCC Nats???
May be to early to ask these questions? Wait for more to follow eyh?

Correct - Oh, and I should point out that the BBOMG event is not exclusive to C5 - we welcome everyone

Correct, you are NOT required to be a registered attendee at the OCC Nationals to take the Tour. Although I speak from personal experience when I say the Nationals is a really fun car show. They run the entire weekend so everyone who wants to include their car as part of the weekend-long Nationals show is encouraged to register

The official GM information release "Tour spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis". I think that we can trust GM to NOT unfairly move OCC Nationals registrants to the front of the line. But even if that is the case, with 3000 spots available, I don't think there is any need to worry
